Need to call to get limits raised

I need to call to have my selling limits raised? Any advice. What types of things do they ask?

I will be calling on a phone that is not the one they have on file. Will they know/ care?

If it is a stealth account, approach the call as if you are a CIA agent. Have all your cover information memorized or at least on hand. Exude confidence and have your story straight before hand. Answer only what is asked and be concise.

It is very inconsistant what they ask when you want your limits raised. Sometimes they ask you about the products you are selling. Other times your business model and expected quantities to be sold. The really diligent ones may ask you about any paterns, incidents, or glitches in your ebay history.

Remember when you call anything is fair game. Prepare for the worst but hope for the best.

I just called today..

They ask, how much do you plan on selling, do you have a site/store Do you have a physical location.

Couple of other quesitions but basic stuff. They also said you are eligible for an upgrade every 30 days ( 28th of the month )

They didnt ask any personaly ?s or anything like that. It was simply about the business and how much I plan to sell.

The lady ( very nice btw ) also put HUGE emphasis on category and feedback based on those category..

Danger danger danger.

Why do you need to call?

Quite a lot here avoid contact with ebay for such purposes. Outcome can be bad.

What sort of account do you have?

How old, selling history, FB & such.

ebay tend to cross-examine sellers when they call.

You would need to have all info to hand. It is also preferable to use the same phone number.

Seriously reconsider calling

I called last week. Got mine raised today. I'm heavily linked to my other account which has unlimited limits and they didn't say anything about me being the same person lol. Just got an e-mail 4 days later after I called & provided my receipt (being today) that my limits were raised to $5k monthly.

(These are legit accounts btw. Not my stealth accounts that I mentioned on here that I was worried could be linked)

I would consider myself lucky though. But assuming you have all info on hand, have a decent selling history (preferably 20+ feedbacks, at least 1 month old account, preferably 3), and aren't possibly linked to anyone else like I was, I personally think it's ok to call.

Don't do it, Open a new (or 3) accounts. When I ask (even on the eBay page) to increase selling limits, and they ask for personal info, AND you get it wrong; What do you think they will do? They will then ask you to prove your identity by calling in and asking more questions. I no longer EVER ASK for increases. and if you open enough accounts every once in a blue moon you may get a nice surprise!:deadhorse:

If the above account is the one you are speaking about in this thread, then avoid contact of any sorts with ebay.

You are not truly stealth enough to consider risking speaking to them.

I say this with a heavy heart.

Yes I understand you would like increased limits. Sell to your max each month. Go the long safe way.

Your account is damaged because of that address. Do not let a human see what they are not meant to see.

I have a 4 year old stealth account. I sold a few items last year. So far there are NO limits. I have been dropping my inventory out every day. I have non stealth accounts with the dumbest limits.
