Limits Increased

Just thought I let you know about my success this month on ebay, one of my stealth accounts has has a increase from 100 items a month and £3,500 to 400 items and month and £17,700. The account is 3 months old has 128 positive feedback, also the other week I became a silver power seller on the account, i also maxed out my limits for the past two months.

stanislav 10-31-2012 12:13 PM

Can I ask you something ? How much are you selling per month ?

sturgeonz 10-31-2012 12:15 PM

Well last month I reached my limits by hitting the money amount, I sold 73 items but I went over the £3500 money limit, did similar to that the previous month.

dreamer90 10-31-2012 12:23 PM

Wow congrats! I maxedout mine for 2 mths as well. I wonder if you need to have 100+ feedbacks for ebay to increase the limits...i currently have 80 and been selling NONSTOP since september1st...and the acct is almost 2 years old. I have the 100 a mth as well...hopefully ill get ur luck soon :)

And this was on a brand new account? I thought PayPal will limit you if you have brand new account and you go over 2k~

sidebetz 10-31-2012 04:23 PM

how many other accounts do you have?

whyebpp 11-03-2012 07:22 PM

Did you call eb? or it's increased automatically??

yeff 11-04-2012 06:15 AM

Same thing happened to mine this month, limits gradually increased till the 100/3500 limit and sold out each month. I then logged in and had been increased to 900/12000, so well chuffed as can use yhis as main account and slowly mature my other accounts.

rsot 11-04-2012 06:47 AM

sidebetz, whyebpp - lot of posts about this recently - might as well call them up or wait patiently.

newjerseymax 11-04-2012 10:46 AM

I had one go from 390/3000 to 1930/19000 I didnt even max out and the ones I wanted to go up (with much lower limits 5,10,20) that I maxed out didnt change... wtf?

Maybe they are giving some sellers bumps for holidays if they been at it for a little while...

whyebpp 11-04-2012 12:42 PM

What's the best way to increase limit?

Sell up to your given limit? in terms of price or number of items? Or simply sell anything amount and any number every week? month?

Does anyone have a formula?

Thanks in advance.

Impact 11-04-2012 03:02 PM

Congrats! Sadly, I have had an account for the past 5 months that yields about 5K every month and I have became a Top Rated Seller, Powerseller, well over 200 feedback all positive but I am still at 100/5K.... :(

Yes every month.... Those accounts are averaging about 20k a month, but I do not really want to go higher on those. Its the ones that are 1-2yrs old that im trying to build that have not gotten increase.

Get a real address that is in the system... A office space will do well, open a real business and get a DBA and EIN. Open a bank account to real address, use a real credit card in company name from that address, open a business bank account with DBA and EIN. Then use them on ebay and pp business accounts and your limits will go up pretty quickly.

I was sure that if you go over 2-3k on a new account (3 month old), PayPal will limit you.

What exactly do you mean by real? Does it have to be an address i have access to or it's not necessary ?

It differs for every account.

It's not an absolute fact.

Hard to have that with a lethal combo of ebay/paypal

Both, stan, both.

from early 2008, it has alway been better to be as real as possible for an ebay account to match whatever algorithms ebay enforces.

Part of it is also common sense.

I've been limited by eBay before, however not PayPal.

So does anyone know what PayPal asks for in this case? From what I've read, is it just "supplier invoices" or receipts? Or do they also ask for government ID, bank statement, etc. like eBay does?

A paypal limitation can be lethal

paypal ask for everything.

They are also more demanding than ebay.

They limit for 'spike in sales': they limit for unusal transactions, ie, too much money.
They scare if they can

Shudders.

Sometimes I wish GreenBean owned eBay. I feel that I could get my account reinstated more often than not with her help lol.

Packattack12 11-07-2012 12:26 AM

May I ask in what category do you list in?

20k a month?? Do you mind sharing a bit of what you are selling? Category?

rsot 11-10-2012 08:46 AM

Careful on calling for limits on an eb account that is tied to multiple eb ays - just had limits split over the series.

cortex 11-20-2012 05:50 AM

Just got off the phone to an ebay rep for limit increases. very helpful guy who told me some things they look for:

-DSR's above 4.6

- They look at the number of items sold vs the number of feedback received.
they like to know customers are happy and checking the ratio of sold items vs feedback received is a factor they look at

- Number of items sold per day

- Average selling price per item per month

- Whether or not you have an ebay shop (this is one i didnt know about)

I got a nice bump today from 300/8500 to 1100/37000 £GBP

Good Luck everyone!

And its that simple..... live by these words.

sommer33 11-21-2012 12:09 PM

my questions is what to sell in the first 90 days, that is safe, get you high turn around rate (get sold easily) and has a moderate value (for e.g. $20 to get you to trs and limit increase soon). any hint will be appreciated!
