Hi,
I had several buyers over the last 16 yrs on eBay do this.
Last week, I sold a buyer an item,price $75,shipping$18
Then, same buyer bought another of same item,at price of $79'shipping$18.(flat) for this size/weight item.
Buyer pays for the first auction.Then..
Anyhow, buyer emails me to combine, for a lesser shipping. I explained they are pre packaged, ready for labels, and his cost was my cost.
Even trying to tape the 2 ,would result in 2 x weight, but with dimensions, still same price ups x2.
That day, I shipped item one, send buyer a dup invoice for item 2.
Later, before ups comes for daily pickup,I go in and check to see if he had paid for the second item.
He did not. He did however, leave the "hourglass" icon, marking it as payment sent.
I immediately knew it was either :
A.) a ploy to hopefully confuse me,to thinking he paid, and ship anyhow,
Or
B.) him sending me a subliminal message,that it's a standoff..lower the shipping,ir I won't pay?.
Anyhow, I resend him the invoice, and in all caps, state..you paid for auction 1'
If you would like this item sent on today's ups, please pay for item 2.
SORRY FOR THE LONG DRAWNOUT explanation..but I could see all the ideas going into this thread,I read it yesterday, with today, still more guesses..
You see, whe it is paid via Echeck, two things happen,
1. PayPal themselves will mark it as payment pending, just hover the mouse over the hourglass to confirm.
And most importantly,
2. You just check your email in box, and whammo..you've got a payment from PayPal,but not the ok to ship email, it has the estimated clearing date.
Absent of any of the two above, and confirmed by you merely hovering your mouse over that hourglass ,it is just the buyer doing it for some odd,but mostly cynical reason.
Good luck.
