Ebay message auto responder?
 

I'm going away for a week, and wondered if there is any kind of ebay message auto-responder to send to people when they message you?

I've got seller manager pro, does that have the option?

Don't want customers to think I'm ignoring them that's all.

if u use google mail then u can setup auto responder.. if u use outlook to manage email it is very easy to setup filters and auto respond emails which meet certain criteria.. maybe u can log on once in a while and check while u r away is that not possible?

i am sure he probably does not want to log in from a different locale due to ip hassles. put the announcement at the top of your ebay store if you have one, or in each listing in large letters.

I know there is the worry of using a different IP but I do not think ebay has that much right to control what a seller does. Taking a vacation is usual for most everyone. I would be inclined to do the auto responder, the note on the ebay store AND advise ebay live help.

Now before you all faint at saying that, remember I have a good account all confirmed and I use paypal..... 'cos I love paypal. :eek: And it keeps ebay guessing.;)

Well I don't actually have access to the email account, because when I took over this account about a year ago, it wasn't mine in the first place. So the email responder is not really viable.

Not to worry anyway, I've emailed my current "active" customers to tell them I'l be away, I stopped selling about a week ago just to ensure time for the complaints to come rolling in before I was off :D

Anyway, I'l see you all in a weeks time.

hmm i see ur situation as my own when i was going on vacation out of country for 4 weeks.. therefore i created this guide and used it myself to success had no problems whatsoever and as i do dropshipping i lost no sales but infact that period was even better than normal days.. i had a wonderful vacation and spent couple of hours at night to place my sales orders and repond to customers.. http://www.aspkin.com/forums/uk-ebay...e-country.html
