Ebay account

Hello,

is it possible to link my ebay account to my friends ebay account who has a very high selling limit?

Do i get his selling limit?

Thanks.

Linking is something you always want to avoid. Most likely they will end up giving you a slight increase and him a huge decrease. If one gets suspended you both will if they are linked.

I haven't heard about merging accounts in a long time.

Just did a bit of research on the subject, and it appears that eBay did away with that sometime in 2008.

you will not get their limit but most likely will get a 50 item/ $5000 limit. anything further you will have to call and convince them over the phone of why you need more. once they are linked if something happens to one account it happens to both. not worth it and if you screw up your friends' high account i do not think they will be very happy

Is the OP referring to linking or merging?

Linking won't do anything to increase limits. Each eBay account will stand on its own merit.

And as stated earlier, eBay has done away with the merging option.

i am pretty sure the OP meant to merge the accounts. i've done the merging since then, i only did it once but it makes no sense to do it anymore because of the linkage problem.

OP has been hoping to have a much higher allowance to sell goods, ie increased limits.

Very very bad idea to link accounts under these circumstances.

Info ( names)) will be different. That can be a red flag.

Now if you have an account where there are limits, ebay will regard the effort to link as trying to subvert the limits.

Their reaction is to either half limits or, far worse, suspend accounts.

Read the above and seriously rethink the plan.

I would keep them seperate

I am keeping them separate.

Linking anything is never a great move. Dont frustrate your friend's account. All the best

That's ambiguous.

Please explain what you mean.

To keep them truly, safely separate, you could never use his account. Therefore you would have no advantage of his existing limits.

I am trying to ensure you do not make a mistake that might harm all your hard work.
