called to increase the categorie limit

i currently have 100/5000 limit on my account, the categorie limit is fxxking annoy so i called.

the indian guys taught me a lengthy lesson about how they want to educate sellers, protect them from rush in business so they can provide good customer service, even illustrated me that it is like credit history, you have to prove and build it first - i really had a hard time to hold back my laugh - so ebay really thinks it is like a bank, no, better, like a whole credit system!

i argued with them and saying well if i'm not selling in the right categorie i'm not selling well, where can i get the feedbacks to prove it to you?

the guy finally said, the categorie limit is for 90 days at least, but i should call back after 10 feedbacks - so they have something to evaluate based upon. he said can not promise me but there is chance that they can increase the categorie limit.

i'll press hard now on my buyers for feedback and definitely call back after 10 fb. anybody who succeeded please give a shout here!

To clarify, there is limit based on category in addition to any acct limits?

yes. when i had 10 limit, can't list same categorie after 5, now i have 100, can't list same category after 15 or 20.

it hurts your business, although you can be creative to list in close categories. buyer can filter you out buy simply click on the category they think is right. like search for iphone 5, if he feels the search results are too noisy, he simply will filter your listing in iphone cases out. or even if buyer happens to find you, you will end up with way lower auction prices.

and sure, make more accounts to sell. but how can you maxi out your limit and sell as much as possible if the category kills.

There are some categories that have limits but not all.

make new stealths to get around the limits.

Whether you call or not, the limits will increase at the same time automatically. You just risk unnecessary attention at your account by calling.
