I created a few ebay seller account, but all of them has limit 5/500..why ?

Gift Card category inital 10/1000 then after 1st sold, 5/500..

from my experience it seems like 5/500 is standard but it seems like when legit info is used, like matching name/address from a public database its 10/1000 for me.

i've created 4 new accounts in the past couple of days, still 10/650 (then 25/750 if requesting higher allowance). must be a US thing

The way you're making the accounts might be a reason, although I'm not 100% sure. In my experience though I make a PP first and make it fully verified with bank, phone, AVS VCC before attaching the eB and I always get 10/$1000.

Yeah I think it depends on the way the account is opened.

You have to make sure you have the paypal fully verified then wait a week or so before you list an item, Also I would not list in a category that is higher risk like gift cards.

I had the same, I sold my first 10 successfully with positive feedback and they moved the limit to 100 / 5000 and said if I needed more to call as long as account was going well.
