eBay new seller payment hold - question

Hey guys i just started a stealth account after being suspended few months ago, and after making my first sale i received the message that the payment for the product i sold was on hold until i post it and provide tracking.

My question is would the funds be released as soon as i add the tracking number?

Also i normally use royal mail recorded postage which comes with a tracking number, but i'm usually told that 'recorded' postage isn't 'fully' tracked.

would the tracking number from recorded postage be sufficient or do i need to post using the fully tracked option (which is more costly :pout:)

Recorded royal mail isnt fully tracked.
It goes in the same system as your 30p letter.
Only difference is they get a signature at the end .
From posting to just before delivery you have no idea where it is .
On a new account with 21 day holds i go for fully tracked via courier .
And they generally lose less than the royal mail especially at this time of year with all the temps the royal mail take on ..
I use the word temps very lightly .. i mean magpies ..

Just put in the tracking number and wait - should show up as delivered. Waiting for buyer's feedback also helps

And what does that have to do with what the OP asked?

OP is concerned about release of finds the way I read the post.

This is basically the 21 day hold right? Well if it is?.... Then normally like a day or two after supplying the tracking, your funds will become available in your account :)

Editing like that just confuses people, since it makes it look like the person replying to the original non-edited post was just talking nonsense. Not very nice. If you hadn't quoted him then a lot of people would be even more confused.

@OP: recorded delivery is enough since it would show that it was successfully delivered (as long as the postman decided to take a signature)... they don't need a fully tracked option.

It's typically 3 days after proof of delivery is provided

Not always in the UK. Sometimes the hold lasts a bit longer.
They vary the funds release often.
