Anyone noticed eBay traffic dropping in the past 48 hours?
 

I barely get any views in my listings over the past 2 days ...I assume everyone is busy due to Christmas? I'm considering taking all my listings off until after Christmas. Not worth paying the insertion fees...

things have died down by 80%. I'd say stop till January 1st?

I let mine run as ther all on "good till cancelled" anyway so i dont see any saving pulling them for 10 days .
But as i sell none xmas stuff i do see a massive downturn over this period anyway .
Who wants an engine for xmas !!
But even so having said that this year shows figures down 11% over last year in december .
Maybe down to economics .. maybe down to people just fed up with ebay .. who knows.
All i know is i dont put all my eggs in one basket any longer.

Every year I stop selling and pull all my ads.
December 18th was my last day.
I will re-list and start a new in January.

i pulled down all my ads one year and then relisted all at once and got flagged by ebay. it led to a suspended account. just thought i should share. it was pre stealth days where i didn't know to use different ip, etc... but it still brought up a flag on an account which was mint at the time

Finally people are getting it ... I have been saying this forever. ebay traffic is down but of course as long as your sales are doing fine you don't care what others say until it hits home.

I stop my auctions on the 18th and leave my GTC's alone. I'm considering taking off the month of January.:cheer:

yea its due to xmas, nobody is buying now.
i sell game electronics accessories, i was selling 2k-5k a day, now its more like 500-1k a day it should pick up after xmas when people have their christmas gift money and gift cards etc...

i lowered my prices by 30-50% to keep selling,
plus buyers are really complaining if I tell them it wont arrive by xmas

Does that mean I won't be getting my item before X-Mas? lol :lol: :pound:

I think a lot of buyer on ebay are very childish. They resort to threats of negative feedback.

one buyer left me positive feedback and then asked me to leave him too. I did not have time to respond to him because I have other accounts. Anyways he sent me another 2 messages asking me to leave him positive feedback. But on his last attempt he threatened me to change his feedback to native and contact ebay LOL! What did I do ???

I reported him to EBay and copy pasted his entire email where he threatened to falsify information in order to change his feedback LOL! He never messaged me again ,...

Well it is the holiday week for Christmas. It should be back up soon.:cheer:

I am keeping my prices the same, if they sell- good, if not- oh well.

Funny, I just had that too. Ordered on the 21st and wants it BEFORE the 24th or he will leave negative and open a dispute. In the listing I clearly state that it takes around 2 weeks for delivery, possibly longer during Christmas.

He responded that I added that part AFTER he bought it (BuyItNow, doh..) and that he will inform eBay.

yea , i have about 10 power seller accounts and few dozen 3000$ limit accounts.

still selling ok, but sales are down the last 5 days.

people arnt buying gifts or anything till xmas is over,
i think thats after xmas people will have gift money and sales will surge,

generally there is major retail sales day after xmas due to guft money and money from returns., dec 26 is a huge selling day.
untill then its 30-50% off on all my items.


im sick of people buying stuff demanding i do free overnight mail.

I also stopped selling on the 18th,,But the reason I do it is more to avoid all the A$$Hole last second buyers who want you to perform Miracles by getting their item to them by Christmas,,not to mention that you also rely on a shipping service like UPS, Fedex, or USPS to also Perform as they should, and as for me anyway, USPS has been an ABSOLUTE NIGHTMARE this year, with lost pagkages and missed scans. Missed Scans open you up to all the Lowlife buyers claiming "Item Not Received" when in fact they did receive it,,

Next year I will stop even earlier
