Creating ebay account using DBA or variation of your name/nickname

So the book says using friend or family as option 1 ... but now many on this forum says don't go that route... So using variation or nickname or DBA... which one does most prefer or go through??

Or is there a new one way people are creating for the name part?

I believe most don't like going the route of using a family members name simply because it is not fair for the family member, should you get their name blacklisted.

Agreed. It's not fair for that friend or family member should they decide eventually to have their own account.
