| | | imjustme | 12-28-2012 12:39 PM | The most insane selling limits increas ever? I don't usually care much about selling limits as I spread my sales over so many accounts, but this one just hit my eye. Apparently it was increased today. This account had been selling for about 4 months now, usually 18-20 items per month, always close to the limit. I had a 20 items limit. Most buyers were non-paying bidders in the past 2 months, though ...and even out of about 40 items successfully sold I only got 4 positive feedback. Yes, 4 positive feedback received in 3 months of sales.
Today, my limit was increased from 20 to: Quote:
You can sell up to 1500 items or up to $21,000.00 per month, whichever comes first.
| What the f.... :humble: |
Holy ****!! I was happy today because mine went from 25 and £750 to 70 and £1700!! |
| BigCJ | 12-28-2012 02:19 PM | It seems that one of the ebay reps had a very berry merry christmas :p |
| incniu | 12-28-2012 03:05 PM | even if i have high limit, i will still sell 10-50 a month..... to avoid paypal tax id request.. |
| sacka_man | 12-28-2012 03:34 PM | You most likely received only 4 feedback due to the Christmas season, when people are less likely to leave feedback. Perhaps eBay saw that you were a good seller and provided fast shipping throughout the holiday season when they are the most uptight, and decided to reward you. Either way, I wouldn't expect selling limits to increase that much. Congrats, keep up the good work. Now become rich. :) |
| bruceuk | 12-28-2012 03:36 PM | Good news Im just.
Makes a refreshing change from the "EB just dumped on my lawn thread" |
| yotano211 | 12-28-2012 04:18 PM | Maybe they saw the picture of the "Dear Leader" and got scared into giving you a huge increase. |
| imjustme | 12-28-2012 04:29 PM | Yeah, it's really weird to go from 20 to 1500 while only having received 4 feedback. The account is fully stealth too. If they only knoew.
:brushteeth: |
| Sandy D | 12-29-2012 04:10 AM | Wow!
You must have really done something right.
Check any of your other accounts?
Amazing.
I would sell up to a comfy amount and let it sit for a while selling only a few items here and there. |
| yotano211 | 12-29-2012 04:38 AM | I wish ebay can give me some selling increases. Most of my accounts are still stuck at 10-20 selling limits. Maybe Sandy can "give" me some of hers, hahaha. |
| vxmotorsport | 12-29-2012 08:26 AM | you lucky fecker!! lol |
| Elijah | 12-29-2012 10:41 AM | I started it... lol |

| imjustme | 12-29-2012 03:19 PM | I think that whole process is automated. I doubt that eBay has people checking each and every account and raises the limits manually. I don't even see any limits on most of my accounts. |
| mr.fan | 12-29-2012 05:13 PM | damn and here I am stuck with 10/1000 on every new stealth account lol... have you guys automatically gotten an increase in selling limits after three months without requesting? |

| zoneout | 12-30-2012 12:38 AM | I see a different angle... As much as we like to think OP has some mystical powers (and yet he might:hail:), I think this has something to do with eb trying to grease the skids for more selling activity. Seems to me they have tightened the screws so much last few months - now their bean-counters are telling them they need more listings to drive sales up again. Hence, raising limits as quickly as possible on low-risk accounts. As they say, `follow the money`... |
| azimbutt126 | 12-31-2012 07:11 PM | do you buy accounts or create your own?
Thank you |

Thank you | I always create my own :) |
| anhcuabe | 01-01-2013 08:32 AM | @imjustme : hi, your account in US or other country? |
| imjustme | 01-01-2013 11:38 AM | Yeah, the inbox is indeed bursting, but I have to dissapoint everyone, there's no magic involved here. It was just crazy to see an increase like that for no reason - and I mean for no reason. I never contact eBay to increase my limits and let them increase naturally. |
imjustme has years of experience - a lot of hard work and dedication to the process so...yeah folx have to respect and appreciate :thumb: |
| imjustme | 01-01-2013 05:44 PM | Perhaps sometimes doing less is worth more. I was never a big supporter of contacting eBay every few weeks to ask for your limits to be increased. The less visible you are to eBay the better. |
| 17anton17 | 01-01-2013 11:22 PM | Surprisingly, after I saw this I went onto my account and after 4 months of solid selling, 100% percent feedback, I finally got an increase from 10 to 30, which I am through the roof about for my first stealthers which are finally starting to grow. I listened to everyone in the forum and let them grow naturally and it is already paying off. Thanks again to everyone for helping, could not have done it without everyone :) |
| boltactionz | 01-05-2013 10:21 PM | OK, I am at a loss. You guys are experts, so please help me. Please tell me where to look to find out what my selling limits are. I have looked and so far have not found it.
And congrats to the big winner with the mega-increase! |
So agree Quote:

I sure hope I will be on the list of the low-risk accounts and get some limits raised. |

And congrats to the big winner with the mega-increase! | Go to my eBay and go to SELLING, then ALL SELLING, then when that displays on the top of your current/active auctions you will see your limits. if you dont have any, that is great :-) |
| Sandy D | 01-06-2013 03:32 AM | Just checked on my real account as I was leaving it sit a bit and got an nice increase from 2,500 items and 30,000 to 3,500 and 40,000.
Biggest jump I think I can remember ever getting at one time. |
| imjustme | 01-06-2013 04:27 AM | I should probably mention that this account sells only no-risk items. They're all custom made / handmade items that are not branded in any way. |
| GhostWhoWalks | 01-06-2013 10:43 AM | I had 295 auctions up with 5,000 items in stock for each and a total of $5.1 million limit. but I could add as many as I would like. I am going to start reposting them tonight or tomorrow.
I guess it really depends on what country you do it from. If you are in a poor country you'll get limits due to fraud. If you come from a good country there are no limits as you are richer! lol. :humble:
Oh and just for the record! I use to have that 100 limit items thing! It's crap! I even called in once cause I had spent like $2,500 for all my stuff to resell and then I see this limit. So I had called up ebay and got it raised once they seen I had given pp all the proper stuff! (they even asked me if I had enough products to sell everything since I had high amounts per auction and I just explained too them). So yeah! They either see you as a business man or some scammer loser dude!
Don't be scared call up EBay! I had one client open up a case in Australia after 4 days claiming he didn't get his package yet! Dude USA to Australia takes a month! You know PP closed the case in my favor! I just tell them straight up, I sell $1000's a month why would I scam someone for a $30 item???
I let them know that the buyer is new and could be a scammer! lol. |

And congrats to the big winner with the mega-increase! | If you have listed your first or second item your limits will be right in front of you at the top.
Unless you got lucky and have no selling limits. |
| balzac | 01-07-2013 08:14 AM | Wow! It's amazing! Never have seen this before in my 5+ years experience on eBay :ranger: | | All times are GMT -5. The time now is 05:45 PM. | |
