Payment from Canada for an ebay.com acct with an US address
 

I am on ebay since a decade, but not too active 'til last year. Since then, I got sick from their cross border rules and issues, so I got myself a drop address in the States and I created an ebay.com account with this address.

For now, I am not really worried about the merchant concerns since I can do it all from a local account here or simply do it off ebay. It is more about how to pay my supplier with this US e*ay account.

Their latest mess is to stop Canadian ebay and *aypal accounts to add/use US/foreign/non-canadian secondary/shipping/gift addresses. If they let you write one, they don't let you change the country or they let you write an secondary US one, but block you from buying/bidding on US only items (often way cheaper than the ones sold internationally).

Since I won't make any sales from this US acct and opening a US paypal account from Canada is messy (with their SSN, US bank acct, VCC ...) without making it stealth and I won't be able to use on the road without having them peeking over my shoulders all the time. How should I pay? I heard PP is required more for selling than buying actually.

If I prefer to avoid US Paypal accounts on this US ebbay acct, would I get red flags if I use a Canadian CC (with/without both Cdn and US addresses) without a Paypal acct (If it is still possible?) or if I use a Cdn BA on a Cdn PP account to pay my supplier on my US ebay acct? Would they let me use a Cdn PP acct (registered to a cdn address) with an US ebay acct (with an US address)?

This doesn't really make sense, but it sounds like you want to pay your suppiler with a canadian payment method or canadian paypal address. IF ADDRESS DETAILS are not the same as the ebay account, you will raise red flags and paypal will think the account was hacked due to the accounts being in two countries. You are much better off creating a stealth ebay account/paypal account, with the same name/address, that way when you need to use those accounts, you won't risk having the accounts shut down. They also need to be in the SAME COUNTRY. Hope this helps.

In other words, even if I use a real Cdn CC (or I'll buy a VCC) with an US primary address, the fact is it was issued in Canada would raise unjustified red flags to these dbags, right? In that case, 1) I gotta go stealth and I am restricted to be careful all the time or 2) I take a chance to lose my accts using an US payment method on an US e*ay acct from Cdn IPs or 3) I make direct 1-2-1 payment to the seller and check items as paid. That's ironic when most online stores don't give a dime about all that. I know that's kinda the purpose here, but how long one will be safe, if he always marks the items as paid, but never use PP or they never actually see the payment for what he buys?
