buyer bought item but never paid
 

so abuyer bought an item from me but he never paid for it ..

what should i do ?

i have a feeling that if i initiate dispute or anything he might give me neg feedback --also will ebay charge fee for the item for which i never got paid ?

I'd initiate an unpaid item dispute

You should contact buyer to ask if there are problems about payment.
If he after some days doesn't reply you'll open a dispute to close transaction because buy7er doesn't pay and you'll get a refund of the ebay fee.,

Get used to it and don't be so worried about the buyer leaving a negative. Personally, I send the buyer an eBay invoice after 2 days with a note in it stating I like to ship my items out fast, so if you can get this paid by 1:00pm today, I'll have it in the mail by this evening!!

If they haven't paid by the 4th day, I use eBay's unpaid assistant that automatically opens an unpaid item case against them. After the case gets opened the buyer has an additional 4 days to complete the transaction. If they don't, the unpaid assistant automatically closes the case, refunds your final value fees, and puts as unpaid strike on the buyers account.

Using the unpaid assistant saves me a lot of time. I never sweat a transaction, if they don't pay, as case gets opened, if they pay I ship the same day!

Do the unpaid resolution option - if he does not pay, even if he leaves neg feedback, it will be removed.

ebay actually will take off the negative if a buyer is non paying and decides to leave you negatives... happened to me three or four times. They're trying to get freebies from us, those stupid scammy buyers. I wish ebay left a negative option on for sellers where we can leave negatives for non paying buyers. :) Those days are long gone... but wishful thinking :) Anyways, I wouldn't worry about it so much :)

All my items only check out if the buyer pays for it! So I don't have to deal with who paid and who didn't pay! WASTE OF TIME!!!!\

If they want it badly they'll load up paypal with money, put your auction on watch so they can come back too it and once they got the funds they'll buy it! I always add up to see how many watchers I got. Around 400+ and it changes daily I get +10 or -5 but it lets me know upcoming orders will come soon as they got money in their PP accounts!
