PO Box Address

Has anyone ever used a PO box address on ebay ? would my account get suspended if i changed it ?

zoneout 01-07-2013 08:31 PM

No of course not... people move dont they?

Why do you use a PO Box? I have never had ebay send me anything via the mail, just use a random address.. I just usually find an address when I drive around and use that address.

Me personally, I only use a P.O. Box for my Buying Account, never used one for sellers account.

eB sends stuff by mail to your registered address. eB sends those stupid congratulation on your new status (top rated, power seller etc.) certificates too.

Okay, so if it gets returned do they limit your account? I would suspect that they get a lot of return mail (ie people moving and not updating ebay), so I doubt they would take any action against an account based solely on a piece of mail being returned?

I haven't seen that many posts on this so you are probably correct that it is not that big of a deal. But there has been reports where members were limited or something like that and eB will send something in mail to confirm. Actual mail not an email.

I guess some things are just easier in UK :faint:;)

NoneOther 01-09-2013 04:57 PM

Yes, but some things are more difficult too.

To a degree.

There's not the good availability of post boxes that exist in the USA.

That's a problem for users.

:juggle:

At that point your account's probably already screwed, and I would wager that you could probably just say "oh I moved since then..etc" and provide an alternate address where you can get mail

Ah man I thought I was doing good getting a po box and opening a new bank account and using the visa card from the new account. My po box address is like "123 main st #23" so it doesnt look like a po box.

When you put just any f@@@ address wouldnt that create problems when they do the public records questioning?

The same problems as living in a post office would.

I use po boxes basically exclusively - very nice for altering address. Caveat is that my boxes are in Canada and in US.

Sandy D 01-20-2013 12:31 PM

Members here probably rent more PO Boxes then the average person just getting junk mail.

At one time I had a ring of PO Box keys with sharpie marker for the PO number on them.

;)
