ebay selling limits with complete information on paypal

may be somebody tried it before,

imagine I created stealth Paypal, verified it with bank account, added credit card, gave tax id to it. Then I go to list my first item on ebay, I list my item and connect this paypal to stealth ebay account. Then I go check my limits, will I get 10/1000 or 100/5000 ?

BigCJ 01-07-2013 09:13 PM

I believe that is done for international accounts. USA accounts, that usually does not happen.

Cj, are you saying verified pp accts don't have eBay limits? Or that being pp verified won't change the automatic 10/1000 limit?

blaineilr 01-08-2013 05:17 PM

I am a little curious about this myself.

With USA accounts:
Since they are stealth, there is usually no info in the automatic database about the user.

Even with everything completely verified (Paypal: ->bank, CC verified + Ebay:-> bank, cc, debit card verified) they still do not lift the initial selling limits of 10/1000.

This usually leads to the 'raise your selling limits' button with the random questions and once you cannot do that, they want to discuss your selling goals and whatnot.

With International accounts:
They cannot verify the identity of the person since they do not have access to that info and they tend to give more leeway with the selling limits.

(ex: while Canadian accounts start out with 10/1000, if they are verified and such, it tends to lift the selling limits to 100/5000. While in the UK they have the same limits but if they fax in documents, they can get them lifted as well.)

You need to apply the selling limits to your own country. The info you had before was for an international ebay account.

Chances are you will get whatever limits the ebay lottery give you on that day.

Addressing only the fact this is a US account, then you have not mentioned all the variables.

Great post! Today we (UK) only get 25 limits and in Canada it's only 30 now though, as they reduced it from 100 some months back. But still as you say it's far easier to start out with higher selling limits on a stealth account in countries other than the US. Apparently some Asian countries have it even worse than US though...

Is this saying that ebay wont raise the 10/1000 limits even after a few months?

It depends on what you are selling... I have had accounts start at 10/1000 and a week later I have already sold the 10 so I request a higher limit. I usually start by selling very cheap low risk items and then call for an increase to 100 and tell them I dont care about the money limit as I am only selling quantity cheap stuff and they will usually increase to 100/5000... Again, it all depends on what you are selling and your performance....

wolverine 01-11-2013 01:51 AM

Me ( indonesia ) only get 5/250....

john456 01-11-2013 04:35 AM

Do we know the best country for highest selling limits?

Since latish 2011, Asian accounts appear to have been 'zapped' with shocking limits.

Do you seriously think it should be announced in open forum?

Part of the obtaining of high limits is still in account creation

Do a lot of research first.

Strangely, paypal might be your friend to get some info.

Consider issues of

IP access
Banking info
Address
Postage

but if you are calling about ebay stealth account for increasing limits, don't they ask you verification questions, because if your info is real, there is a button to increase limits, you just have to answer few questions:noidea:

That is a great question. I have been wondering about that too.

There are a few posts around on how to answer the verification questions.

People with their stealth accounts have hit the button to increase limits and passed the questions so I am sure it is doable.

The thing is, I dont like calling eB unless something is broken and big problem....so let the limits increase naturally

bruceuk 01-12-2013 12:59 PM

I never call them ever.
Would prefer to chew my own foot off than listen to some fool on the phone telling me what i can and cant do ..
If you want more selling limits create more accounts .
They in turn will mature like a fine wine and give you better selling limits.
