Default Amazon S3 + Cloudfront

So, I'm currently using Amazon S3 for all my listings on all websites where I currently sell, including ebay US and UK and a few non-ebay websites.
It serves mainly HD images for the listings, that are redirected via the api through my store domain. These are the current approximate monthly statistics:

Storage: 100MB
Data Transfer Out: 50GB
GET Requests: 1 million
PUT Requests: 1 hundred thousand

The content is located in the US (Virginia) and, although transfer speeds in Europe are very good and in Asia are reasonable, I was thinking about using Amazon Cloudfront alongside S3 to distribute the content to the edge locations around the world.

Is anyone here currently satisfied with Cloudfront (or any other CDN for that matter)? Since this will be A LOT more expensive than just S3, is the difference noticeable in this case, or is it overkill?

Open Cloud Computing, Managed Hosting, Dedicated Server Hosting by Rackspace

Have you checked with Rackspace?

A lot of BIG companies with massive traffic use them.

Excuse me?

Bumping a thread less than 8 hours old is poor manners.

Your OP was made at a quiet time on the forum because the majority of users are USA based.

Hi Roscoe, thanks for the input.

Rackspace is not scalable and their market is, like you said, the big guys. And they don't provide their own CDN, they use Akamai instead. Also, have you seen those prices?

Less than 8 hours? Are you sure? I see a difference of more than 24 hours between the OP and the BUMP.

I could be wrong. If so, I'm sorry GreenBean, it won't happen again
