MC-999 Policy Violation Copyright.... Unauthorized Image

Hey guys.

Just wondering if you ever got that message on eBay.
I have gotten it plenty of times I just wonder if anyone ever gotten this policy violation using their own photos. Currently I had stock images of the product on my listing so that was their reasoning for removing it.

Any insight?

You used Ebays Stock Image and the listing got Removed for using that image, Is that what you are saying?

TechTro 01-15-2013 10:53 PM

Well eBay did not provide me them. I just took them of google

MM78 01-15-2013 10:58 PM

Why are you not using your own pictures?
Answer = Lazy?

Those pictures on google are copyright protected...

I have found anyways if you use your own you get more bids...

Did you learn your lesson just now or when you got the violation?

You can not do it that way.

That's why you got the notice.

Either use your own images or use those directly off ebay

It could be possible that 1 of your google images were 1 that was currently being used on ebay, it's just strange to me though since that's all I use is google images on tons of accounts and I've never seen that yet.

And no I'm not lazy, I sell the same product on many accounts at times and no matter how many different ways I try to take my pics they always somehow come out looking similar.

So I use the non stock photo pics in google images and have yet to have any problems..

also, with the pictures you use from google, other top rated sellers might be using them which they can report you

balzac 01-16-2013 10:38 AM

What if you don't have possibility to take your own picture?

rsot 01-16-2013 01:59 PM

You at least need to do work on the stock photo to make it your own - exif strip, branding it, resizing...dont be lazy

Than you should not be selling... You can get a simple camera anywhere or online for very cheap these days.

I don't think that your option is acceptable to me.
The problem is not in the camera, but that I am not keeping the stock with myself.

If you use the same pictures for different sthelth accounts ebay can use that to link you. Or at least to increase suspicion on your account. Your pictures can tell if you have stuff at hand or not. Also I will love to see what am buying if am a buyer.

I have never gotten this and used images from online before, does it require someone to complain that you're using their image?
