How many packages do you bring to the post office in a week?
 

***I was told there was a similar thread from a while ago but could not find it. So I thought I'd make this...If a mod/admin finds the older one, you can delete this thread and link me please. I tried searching the forums, but no luck.

If you care to share - how many packages are you bringing to the post office every week?

I'm currently in the middle of changing what I'm selling but it will soon be around 55-60 things a week. Around 220 monthly. I know that may seem like absolutely nothing compared to some people on here, so I thought it would be interesting to see in comparison for everyone. (I'm the type to go with higher profits/less volume)

I find myself dropping about 10 packages a day almost every day (Monday-Saturday) so that brings me to about the same level as you. In my opinion, I spend too much time at the post office haha

I average about 80-100 per week but might increase a little bit with some coffee makers and vacuum cleaners I have found to sell.

You take those to the Post Office?

My wife and I bring about 30-40 packages to the post office every day. Sometimes we miss a day if there isn't so much to send and send it the next day. We used to do much more, about 80-100 a day but have changed products since and have reduced the load by half, while maintaining the same profit margin, so that's nice, less work. The packages are small and light-weight, though.

around 200-300 on average. holiday can be anywhere from 800-2000.

What if you are not home? Can you leave the packages somewhere for them to collect? I just don't want to be waiting around for the mailman to show up only to find he came while I was out mowing the lawn.

Mostly about 15-20 a week, unless I have to dilute a DSR then about 100 envelopes with .99 items and free shipping. :mad:

No, I will sell them for someone and get a cut. I am branching out into other selling venues.

I used to have my mail picked up. One Monday I had a huge weekend of sales, let go $3000 worth of product to the mailman. Lost or most likely got jacked of every single package, it was a nightmare. Never again, been going to the post office myself ever since.

Agreed been selling for years. Unless it is just a few packages and the mailman happens to show up I always drop them off myself. I normally go at night and hit up the the 24 hour postage machine drop boxes. Never had a problem there. Several years ago I did leave the USPS totes on the porch for the mailman and for a long time I didn't have a problem. Then one day the packages where gone and no updates on the tracking. Not sure if it was the mailman somebody stole them or what the deal was. I lost a good amount of money and always bring them in myself or hand them off to someone in person ever since.

30 to 50 a day big boxes too

have an arrangement with the postie

meet him outside and i throw them in his van

he gets beer and gifts on birthday and xmas

Currently around 60 per day. Got to know the staff in the post office well so they let me take their post sacks home each day so I'm only at the post office for a couple of minutes

i shove all mine in the post box. my items sell for between £6-40, but they cost me hardly anyhing. if they get lost, they get sent again or refunded

I send 70-100 everyday average around 2000/month
I put them all in totes and the mailman picks them up "I tip him $20 every friday for lunch"

Yup, smart move. Definitely worth it.

I hardly ever go into the post office most of what I sell is under 13 ounces so I drop it down any usps mailbox, usually about 10 a day 20-30 on Mondays, every now and then I'll have some flat rate priority boxes and naturally I'll have to go inside and drop those off on the counter.

I use to live down the street from a post office, that was always convenient. Some packages would go across the country in 48 hours.

Yeah, you really cant beat the service you get from usps for the price. Cross-country takes max 3 days usually with saturday delivery to boot. Funny, sometimes it takes longer for something to go one state over.

I have a GREAT Relationship with my local Post office, I simply Unload on the Back Docking Bay, I even Load them in the approiate Bins for them, NEVER, EVER go inside the Post office, Although USPS SCREWED Me Royally this Holiday season by Losing a TON of my packages, I would not give up that convenience so easily, They have offered to Pick up, but I won't chance it, rather drive them down myself
