Does anyone know if trying to get decent user name makes any odds eg.if you sell cars you get user name super-fast-cars instead of random names, cant find anything about this in the forum.

An ID means nothing to anyone. What people look at is your Positive/Negative Feedback as a "Seller".

Do you not think customers see it as a bit more professional when you have built up a bit of trust and have a decent name?

It wont help you in the search results that's for sure, that is only related to your DSR, price, key words..etc

I buy often on Ebay and I could care less what a users ID is, I just look at 3 things:

1. Does the item match what I am looking for
2. Price
3. Positive/Negative Feedback

You could make an ID that sounds similar to what your selling but it really provides no advantage.

I honestly don't see any advantages to having the right user name in regards to sales, since I have so few repeat customers.

But that being said, I always spend a significant amount of time making mine sound fun, relevant, memorable and professional.

I take Great Pride in my Stealth accounts, and probably the reason I do it.

In your case I don't believe so. Like people said its the way how your listing looks , feedback , DSR etc.

But , if you sell branded items such as the cell phone accessories category. I would have to say it would make a big difference if you make your user ID/ store more or less like a company name because if you sell a certain high risk brand that certain brand wants to make sure you aren't a small seller selling a their ⊗⊗⊗⊗ brand. They will later on ask eBay to remove your listings. Just my opinion.

For me I have a particular type of product ( antique ) that I always have plenty of in stock and chose a user name that fits that type and age of product.

Very cool name and I have had many, many tell me once they looked at my price, feedback etc that my user name was awesome. Man have said they chose me over a competitor because they felt anyone with a user name that matches the product and has had this many sold would be more trusting. Of course price and feeback plays a big part but if you specialize in a certain product I believe it "helps" but does not hand you any business just because of the name.

I wonder if a Username can be found when searching for a product via a Google search?

If you search via Ebay will a username show up for a product?

I don't Ebay so clueless here.

I think seller name can be whatever as long as not TOO jokey or unprofessional.

There was one seller name like luvtocheat (or something like that way way back) - doesnt make sense to even joke like that...if it was serious...that was bad

I want customers to remember it and not have to dig for it for any possible repeat business.

Depends what you`re selling. For instance, the lady that sold the yellow dress for $100K+ had a memorable user name.

Back when stupid people was buying up mystery boxes on ebay I remember a name kind of like

mystery box queen

How could you forget such a name.

Catchy and tells exactly what she was selling.

And she was selling them like hotcakes.
