Default Do 3 unpaid item strikes always result in suspension?

I read somewhere it takes 3 strikes for an account to be suspended, right? Does it matter if they all come from the same seller? Like, if they come from the same seller, will they only count as 1? Because someone bought 3 items from me on the same day and refuses to pay. Now he's threatening to leave me 3 negatives if I give him unpaid item strikes. I'm thinking that if I give him 3 strikes he'll get suspended right away, right?

Yes, i got three unpaid item strikes many years ago.. all from the same seller!

I brough 25 items from him, recieved one and it wasn't as good as he had descirbed so i didn't pay for the rest. Then i got unpaid item disputes for all the rest.. and subsequently recieved a permanent ban for life

Usually ebay counts all disputes from the same seller as a single strike. Maybe this was because it was "many years ago"

I think he's digging his own grave, though. He now bought 9 items from one of my other accounts and also refuses to pay. So that makes 12 UPI strikes from 2 accounts. That should be enough....

Imjust me--I tried this 2 months ago on a lady--who pulled the "not all items in the box routine"--
She got 8 strikes from me--then a week or so later--i check in dispute console--and 7 were reversed--so he was able to tell someone a sob story--i think it must be from 3 sep sellers, based on my exper..

I've had that before. If a buyer gets one strike from a seller reversed, they get them all. I even had someone I gave a strike to one month and they get it reversed. Two months later I gave them another strike and they get it reversed again.

Is that still the case with unpaid item strikes?

I have so many 'buyers' that simply do not pay or contact leading to me opening an unpaid item case which after three days I close leading to ebay informing me that this has been 'noted' on their account.

I must be honest I have the impression that the strike for a buyer means nothing, as eBay wants to keep the buyers so the strike is just something to appease the seller.

Most of these people that do not pay do not comment when the unpaid item is submitted or even when it closes.

I have never had an unpaid item myself as a buyer so I dont personally know what happens.

Can you please confirm for me. Are they actually booted after 3?

And do they have the option to resolve once booted?

Many thanks guys

No. I've gotten dozens of UPIS on some of my accounts, never once suspended.

i don't think unpaid items are that serious in the uk, i had 3 once in the same year different sellers and nothing happned

and then i seen this buyer once with 6 unpaid items with bad feedback being left by the seller and he was still bidding away,

The strikes won't ban you at least 3 will not but it will mark the buyer and make it easy for sellers to automatically block those buyers from buying or bidding on their items.

Under buyer preferences you can block any buyer with 2 unpaid cases within 6 months. And you can adjust that to X unpaid within X months. So you can be strict or more lenient

Actually it can depend on the monetary amount of the sales.

High amounts from serial flippers can see them become naru.
