| | | dan21610 | 02-01-2013 05:39 PM | Will eBay ever raise my limits automatically? Few notoes...
- I had my eBay account suspended indefinitely back in September
- I created a new account in October (10 item limit)
- Next day I received a message saying that my account was linked to a suspended account and was now being limited (5 item limit)
- The following day I looked at my limit and it was 150 items/$7000
I have no idea how that happened but I definitely don't want to call eBay to request raising my limits. If I do I think there's a 99% chance they will suspend my current account.
My current account has 100% feedback (90 feedback), is a top rated seller account with 4.9+ DSR's across the board.
I was hoping that my limit would be raised today (Feb 1st) but it wasn't. Has anyone ever had their limits increased automatically or should I ever expect this to happen? |
| boost | 02-01-2013 06:29 PM | Takes time. How did you go from having a 5 item selling limit to 150 the next day? |
| Sandy D | 02-01-2013 06:57 PM | It will be raised over time. Toss a dart as it is never the same on any account.
I just got several huge raises on accounts 2-3 months old myself so be patient and keep the dsrs up etc.
You got lucky on the old account, go slow with it as it might not last.
Work on backups so you can spread more sales around!! |
| Bunneh | 02-01-2013 07:17 PM | I dont think limits are raised on the 1st of every month.
I think it happens sometimes during... |

Seems most of mine are always at the end of the month. |
| Bunneh | 02-01-2013 07:52 PM | Last time i had it was during the month so that's why i am unsure about this |
| stanislav | 02-01-2013 08:53 PM | Limits are raised beginning of every month, additionally for power sellers limits are being raised on every 20th of the month as long as you meet all the necessary criteria.
I hope this helps. |
| rockitaway | 02-01-2013 09:27 PM | Is there an association between the date of first sale and the date the limit was raised? |

I don't know if it was a glitch in the system or what but I definitely don't want to call eBay. Quote:

I hope this helps. | I'm a powerseller as well as a TRS so I guess I'll hope for a raise on Feb 20th. |

I was told by the rep that on the date of your first sale every month you can call to have your limits raised. My first sale happened to be the 26th, I call every 26th and they have raised the limits. |

Many are afraid to do this as many have reported they get the ID check when they do.
You must be doing something well. |

You must be doing something well. | Never been asked for ID. It's really as simple as calling, asking for a limit increase...they review your sales and check for positive feedback. They say this is what we can do for you, click click, done.
Then again, this is not a stealth account and we DID get limited ONCE...this was after we already raised our limit TWICE though. And we did supply ID and invoices, this was due to going over our selling limit two months in a row when the account was not even 60 days old yet. Quote:

I was just told I needed to speak to the seller vetting department so I decided not to call back. Going to call back at the end of the month and ask for a limit increase again if I don't automatically get one. |

Hence why it isnt good for stealth accounts to call.
But doesnt the increases happen on the 28th? Thats when all of mine have happened. |

| zoneout | 02-02-2013 11:14 PM | Docs is docs. |
| imjustme | 02-03-2013 04:56 AM | I had one account stuck on 10 items for almost 6 months, then suddenly it was raised to 1600 items a few days ago. I never call - period. |
| natbabes | 02-03-2013 10:51 AM | My limits increased from 1,830 to 3,590 this month :)
DSR 4.9-5.0. Top rated seller & silver power seller. Had the account since Nov 2011. |
Welcome to the forums - lot of advice out there.
I would create a backup or 2 and build them too. |

| Sandy D | 02-04-2013 09:08 AM | I just signed into an account and listed an item and did not notice right away but the limits went from 20/1000 to 100/3000 and the account is 4 months old.
I rotate 20 or so accounts a week and then switch to a new batch the following week and finding out this months raises have been really good to me.
I dont think calling it worth it. Just spread sales, do well and have plenty of accounts moving and you will see the raises come in time. |
