Google auction anybody know about this
 

I heard a while back that Google was going to start an auction site. Where I read it everyone said that they were the only company with enough loot to go head to head with ebay. Yahoo even folded. I was told they made a pay service like PayPal. Does anyone know if this is still in the works or if there is a date of when it will happen? Nothing compares to eBay. Seriously they have the biggest Monopoly ever. There are laws against that why doesn't the government shut them down. They did it to oil and electric companies in the past. Didn't they do something to Microsoft too?

Google had a Pre-Beta site that was revealed a while back. It got a large number of links, and spammers quickly put up ads. I saw this site a few years back. It looked very rough at the time... but it is/was in the works.

theres google base, which is similar to craigslist, which google is working on now THAT will be fun to use for your websites ;)

I was on looking for something on sams clubs web site and came across this Samsclub.com Auctions and I noticed that its powered by ebay in the upper corner. If more stores move to selling items like this ebay and the stores might be cutting sellers right out of the picture.
