Selling Coupons Redeemable on My Website Allowed?

Been reading the forums for a week or so now. Great help from good people.

Background. I recently started selling on eBay. I really liked the idea of electronic cigarettes. First mistake I didn't do my research. I would never have guessed they were banned on amazon and ebay. Ok, can't get around that.

I still like the industry but don't want a real retail store. I'm working on a website to sell electronic cigs, e-liquids, etc...

Can I sell coupons on ebay or amazon that are redeemable on my website?

Example - $5 Coupon Good For Free Electronic Cigarette w/ purchase of 10 bottles e-liquid or something like that?

I've searched the site but the only mention of coupons is to put coupons in your package when you ship items.

Thanks!

In my honest Opinion....It won't work.

1. Ebay does not like virtual goods.
2. Paypal does not like virtual goods.
3. Customers are not going to want to go to your site to redeem a coupon.
4. Ebay/Paypal are not going to like the customers having to redeem the coupon on your website.

Well - you can also try working with Skrilla or Propay or Paymate as alternative sources of payment than PP too.

Amazon would need your own UPC

I wasn't having issues with payments. Amazon and ebay were just taking down my listings. I purchased UPC for amazon. They just don't allow electronic cigs because they say it falls under tobacco.

Looks like my only option is my own website.

your own website is the best idea anyway. highly recommend aspkin's 'webmaster blueprint' . it's the route i'm going myself

I agree.

Coupons seem to me to be a problem all the way around.

Lots of sellers with many negatives who sell in that section.

Then they have to go to your website.

Not a good business model that will work in my opinion.

Have to disagree with these suggestions.

They have policies similar to paypal.

Internet tobacco/e cigarettes are not acceptable.

There is no such payment processor as "Skrilla", but there is one called "Skrill". A Google search returns nothing for "Skrilla" so I'd advise you to stop calling it that, so that people who have never heard of it before can actually find it when they search.

And you had better research Skrill before you use it.

Lots of issues.
