Suggested Wait time to sell on new account

How long should I wait to sell on a new account? I created an account and waited a week and it was fine but I found that an account I created where I started selling the next day it got suspended due to "Serious Concerns"

Was this just a one off? Or should I always wait around a week before selling stuff?

Thank You

30 day wait time.

Ukdirect 02-17-2013 11:10 AM

The longer you can wait the better, I have sold on brand new accounts before but I would recomend if you do to limit it to just a couple of items.

Slow and steady is the best way to build a really solid account that will last

I would say to imagine you are a new seller. As a new seller, you probably wouldn't list everything you have on a site you have never used before would you? You would probably list one or two things after browsing the site and checking to make sure you will get the price you want. Then after you sell those one or two things, you would probably wait to get your money out and make sure everything goes smoothly before listing more.

That is how I set up my accounts and it seems to work pretty well so I hope it helps :)

The key is to always be making more accounts and always have some that are aging. Just earlier today I sold a few items on a "new" account, but that account was created over a year ago.

Just list an item or two, don't go crazy. I hardly ever have problems listing non-risk items on new accounts.

If you do get a mc999 request, just call, and have your info ready to verify. It's a piece of cake. I list on a few new accounts each week, it's fine.

Sandy D 02-17-2013 08:17 PM

I usually wait a few days and list yard sale, low price items under 10 bucks.

Do not list 0.99 items and do not list 10 items in a row either.

Do not list new items on a new account.

You are suppose to be new, act like you are new.

Works for me all the time and no problems to date.

VERY sound advice, slow and steady wins the race!:typing:

Exactly.

That is why I run hundreds of accounts, spread sales and build them from baby stealths into powerhouse accounts.

Slow and steady works for me and my accounts stick like glue.

I wait before selling.

I also never sell on ebay co uk unless my paypal is verified and confirmed.

I present to ebay an account that will avoid raising flags,

Like Sandy I go slowly. My aim is long haul, long life accounts.

Could you give a bit more info about your accounts? We'll help with some ideas that might prevent this happening again

I suggest waiting 9 minutes after creating your account to start listing items to sell. I sell immediatley right after but the only reason I said to wait 9 minutes because 9 is my favorite number lol

Ukdirect 02-18-2013 02:58 AM

Although you can list immediately it's not the best strategy if you are focused on long term suscessful stealth accounts. One or two listings won't hurt but don't be listing your entire inventory straight after signing up

NGALO1983 02-18-2013 03:30 AM

You have two options; Wait 30 days and account might still be taken down by Ebay or at anytime even if your a top seller because Ebay does whatever they want whenever ever they want.

or two, sell 9 minutes afterwards and see for yourself if your account lives or dies immediatley lol It sucks to wait 30 days then your 1st sell you listed and your account dies right after lol 30 days or 9 minutes? 9 minutes sounds better to me lol 9 is my favorite number.

I created a stealth account 3 days before Christmas when everyone on here was complaining about their account being suspended by Ebay and I sold immediatley right after & my account still lives today.

The goal is to blend in with everyone else. When a newbie who plans to sell on Ebay creates a new account they sell right away when they create their account so why should I do any different? Im suppose to blend in.

GreenBean 02-18-2013 04:17 AM

How could a top seller be taken down at 30 days?

Or was that exaggeration for making your point

Everyone has their own methods so i'm not going to say your “wait 9 minutes” method is wrong, but the slower you take it with a new account the longer it will last.

If you are following the guide and setting up your eBay/PayPal accounts correctly why would you need to test if it lives or dies? surely it lives?

How do you guys do it?

i have been selling back on ebay successful stealth for close to a year now and im loving the extra money.

I love this site it has helped me so much..but running 6 to 7 accounts at one time is alot of work. changing IP addresses, taking picture, writing listings, and packaging and shipping sometimes over 300 items a month...how do you guys manage and sell from over 100 accounts at one time? Please tell me i would love to make the money you guys or making i know some of you are making well over 20,000/month..

Hell just selling from 5 accounts is tough seems like im in front of a computer for hours at a time and always having to check every account every other day..

how do you big dogs have the time to post on this Forum and answer so many questions and run 100 accounts?

Ukdirect 02-18-2013 01:00 PM

You rotate the the accounts, so if you had 100 accounts you might only sell from 10 of them one week as then move into the next 10 for the week after.

This way you are slowly building your accounts under the radar, and if for any reason you do lose one its not the end of your income.

Also if your going to manage a lot of accounts write everything down, I use excel to keep track of my accounts

krimson 02-18-2013 01:23 PM

thanks for the good information

Basically, I meant that any account at any given time can be terminated by Ebay at any time they decide to even if you are doing all the right things.

rsot 02-19-2013 06:09 AM

I prefer building up some buying and browsing history - then I sell 2-3 weeks later. Like GB, Im a fan of having the pp verified long before.

14-16 hour days every day is normal for me. Although I am on and off here as I do other things and not sitting all the time. But put in no less then 14 hours per day easily and many times you will see me on at 4 am and off then back at at 7 or so before I take kids to school.

No one runs 100 accounts at one time. for me I limit myself most weeks to 20 accounts, start them on Sunday and end them all on Sunday. Only need to answer questions during the week and drain money out starting on Monday.
