| | | imjustme | 02-20-2013 08:53 AM | Is it just me or do "regular" eBay seller accounts almost never get suspended? I used to sell "questionable" (f.ke) items for years on eBay and have had accounts suspended almost every week. I have over 100 accounts now and have almost a year ago switched to all legit and unbranded items. Since then, I've never had an account suspended and suddenly find myself with more accounts than I can ever sell on.
Is anyone in the same boat here? Not that I'm complaining that I don't get suspended, but ... |
| they_screwed_me_too | 02-20-2013 08:55 AM | if you want to offload some of those spare accounts to me then all donations gladly accepted
regular accounts do stay alive if operated correctly more than foo foo item accounts |
| Laritha | 02-20-2013 09:37 AM | What were the old accounts suspended for? If it was mainly from customer complaints, then there's your answer. |
| SaiJin | 02-20-2013 10:13 AM | I used to have a 20.000+ feedback account, gold powerseller, 99.9% and all legit.
I got suspended for unknown reason... and I landed here.
So no, I'm not in the same boat as you |

I dont lose accounts and never sold risky items ever.
I have 400 sellers accounts and rotate them around to keep them active.
The one account you let sit for a year and got the limits drop scares me to death, now I find myself double checking to make sure I at list list 10 items or so on each account in rotation. Others I list far more but if you have accounts sitting I would toss a few things on them once in a while myself. |
| ateep22 | 02-20-2013 06:11 PM | 400 seller accounts??? how??? |

Once you get used to it, it's really not that big of a deal. I've made 30 accounts this month. I try to make an account a day if I can, and sometimes 2. |
| ateep22 | 02-20-2013 08:53 PM | will do...thanks |
| Futuremogul888 | 02-20-2013 09:08 PM | Do you think maybe alot of this has to do with the advancement of your skills as a stealther. That at this point you are such a pro at staying under the radar, that your accounts aren't even slightest priority on ebay's list of accounts to suspend. |

Thanks GB awful nice of you.
Ateep-
As a person who loves to succeed and will work very hard to accomplish something I can tell you I have spent countless hours working hard, learning and spending time on this board.
When I first came to this board I was lost and spent no less then 4 hours and sometimes 6-8 hours per day every day here reading, taking notes etc.
If you want to succeed in anything you have to be willing to learn, listen and put in the time and effort.
My big thing is what I was taught as a young kid, follow those who have been successful, tweak it to your ways and give the effort. Good things will come.
I have a goal of having 1000 accounts some day, I had the goal of 500 and reached it and I will reach it.
Now I have the opportunity to give back to others in more ways then one. I have learned so much from others here and constantly wish success on others if they are willing to put in the time.
Sure I work long hours every day and the money is great but more importantly I went from a confused, scared of eb and pp, non techie person to where I am today and I owe it to many people.
Now it is your turn, read, post, learn, participate, give back and set a goal.
It will be well worth it I promise you! |
| Sandy D | 02-20-2013 10:28 PM | By the way
I learned so much from the OP of this thread and always appreciated their input on almost every issue you can think of.

Yes, so far you have done well to stay under the radar but who knows what new policies, techniques, etc eb will dream up in the future. When I signed up for eb back in 1998 I thought for sure that one account would last me a lifetime. If I knew then what I know now how evil eb would become I would have thousand accounts by now. |
| slapped | 02-21-2013 01:32 AM | How about this,,,I agree with the OP,,,However, I have a different take,,,I Believe that Ebay has Lightened up on Sellers,,,Amazon is eating their Lunch, Thats NO seceret, Look at some of the things that they have done, Introduced "Report The Buyer" feature, in my opinion this is sort of "Undoing" taking away of the ability for sellers to leave feedback.
I recently started seeing a NEW MC999, where Ebay Suspends a Buyer who has recently Purchased/Bid on on of YOUR Items, When the F*CK did that ever happen before?,, and I have seen a BUNCH of these since the begining of the year,,which tells me that they are cracking down on Buyers,,,Ebay Cracking down on Buyers NOT Sellers???WoW thats a First
I cannot remember the last time I got one of those MC999 refering to "Community Members" concerns, (Usually a competitor Reporting a Listing),,,How about all the money Ebay is spending to attract New SELLERS,,,NOT Buyers, a LOT has changed in the Sellers favor over at Ebay, only No One Here posts about it,,,After all we are all here to COMPLAIN as sellers about Ebay not to talk about what they are doing that is Positive for sellers.
There are a LOT of Subtle little things either Happening or NOT happening anymore on Ebay, I just think that they are trying to hold their Market share, which is getting Smaller Every year |
| zoneout | 02-21-2013 01:38 AM | Too little, too late. |
| Laritha | 02-21-2013 02:21 AM | I read all this stuff about people have hundreds of eBay accounts. But my question is: are they FULLY verified eBay accounts, or just accounts with no VCC, VBA, or Paypal attached?
Sure you can have 100 eBay accounts, but having 100 eBay accounts w/ fully verified Paypals has to be very time consuming. |
