Listing not being shown on eBay.com / Currency issue?
 

I listed my item on eBay.CA so I could set the currency to CAD... but I certainly still ship to the US and it's specified in my ad. Yet for some reason my listing does not show up on eBay.COM - only shows on eBay.CA and eBay.CO.UK. I would list it on eBay.COM however this takes away the option of setting the currency to CAD.

Now that is frustrating...

because when I list it in CAD $ on eBay.ca:
- I don't lose money when I exchange currency on PayPal
- it's easier to withdraw to my bank account
- CAD shows up on eBay as much less in USD for my likely American buyers/bidders (ex. $299 CAD item shows up as about $287 USD)
- it's a win/win for the buyer and me the seller

now if I were to list it in USD $ on eBay.com:
- I lose money when I exchange currency on PayPal
- it's a little more difficult process to withdraw to a US account
- the eBay price has to be raised to account for the loss when exchanging
- it's a lose/lose situation for the buyer (raised price) and me the seller


I thought that all listings show up on eBay.com as long as it's specified that shipping is available to the US...

On eBay.com you can opt for "International Visibility - Show your listing on UK & North America marketplaces (Additional fees apply)" . Not sure what they do on .CA

It gives me the option for an additional fee, to show on eBay UK. Which I did.

But no option for eBay.com/US - I thought it automatically showed there for no fee anyway

Even though my listing was posted just 12 hours ago - it's showing up on eBay.CA and .CO.UK like I said - so I don't see why it would take longer to get on eBay.COM (if that's even the case)

Also - a separate listing I made a few days ago, was posted originally on eBay.ca with CAD currency - yet it DOES show up on eBay.COM like it's supposed to. :noidea:

Ahhh this is getting on my nerves! Anyone happen to know why this is happening?

Give it another 12 hours.

Someone else posted about this a while back and said it showed up around 24 hours or so.

Dont make sense but its ebay.

It's been 24 hours. Still don't see it. It's a rare item, only one on eBay, and is definitely something a lot of people will want - yet it has 0 watchers and less than 20 views.

Even my last 2 items which I listed on eBay.ca, were up for at least 3 days and although they sold, they won't even show up in the Completed/Sold listings on eBay.COM...Just on the .CA
