Got a random email from ebay, in that email was a 50$ credit to use towards "electronics"

I'm tempted to use it, but i don't want to get linked.
Question is, if i gave that coupon code to a friend to use on his ebay, you think it will link his account to mine?

the coupon is only valid on your account & yes i am sure it will link both accounts if you try as the coupon is for you only.

This is probably to stop people from selling them or giving them away.

almost off (if not all) of ebay's coupons are user specific and random

Um why would you get linked using a coupon on the account that was sent to you? Are you worried about sending it to a different address than the one registered or something? And yes you should not send it to someone else it won't work they are by in large user specific.

Yes "user" specific but the items you buy are never reciver specific.
I can choose to send the order anywhere, this cant only Apply on My accounts?

correct, you can change reciver address and still be able to use it
