eBay buyer just called my house phone?!?
 

I sold an item to an ebay buyer via ebay. but he insisted on paying through a paypal invoice. He called me via house number that was on my eBay account. not my Paypal account. I don't link my house number to paypal, ever.

Is there a way a buyer can see the sellers shipping details? or just the phone number?

What did the buyer ask, or want?

Honestly ever since I started selling I've had a few weird calls, once a ladie with a heavy accent called wich tripped me out because I didn't really understand her so I hung up she called again then I didn't answer. And now I always get calls from all dirt numbers. I just never pick up.
Based off the fact that I don't want people to keep calling my personal phone for these matters. For that they can message me on ebay.

They can see your Name, Address and Phone number.

Did you got email from eBay that buyer requested your info?

Sure - they can pull a contact member request....the number on your eB account will be shown to them. Why would you use a home phone number? Thats not very smart...sad to say

never give ebay information you don't want other people to know, most things you put on ebay can be seen by others...

Why in the world would a bonehead buyer want to ask you for a PayPal invoice he loses eBay buyer protection. Some crazy people out there man.

So he could still file a charge back without getting his ebay account dinged for having too many cases open.

That's the only scam I see in that.

There you go. Buyers are smart and have figured a way around too many cases being opened.
