You generally need a credit card to verify identity when opening a new EBAY account
 

Ok so today I tried to sign up for a second ebay account and then I clicked continue to go to the page where ebay says they will send you a email to confirm if it you. But instead today they asked for cc to verify indentity so then I just exited out of that page since my Simon gift account info was to come tomorrow in the email. I want to know if this is new or already happen to someone?
Do they know i already have a ebay account and trying to create a new ebay account in a new name did they link me?

You or someone else logged in to ebay recently. Then on that same IP address attempt to open a new ebay account ebay will request a credit card to verify you identity. Yes this is expected. You want to open an account at a different location or IP address.

Yes I did log in to my first ebay account about 2 hours before creating ebay account 2. Then I went through the whole process and created everything new on a NEW ip address.

Do they have me linked?

I was really worried because ebay never asked for the cc at the begining of registeration they only asked when signing up for a seller account. Count Dracula only if you would have answered this when I was waiting for you to come online at night like you usually do I wouldnt have lost a lot of sleep over this. But I'm now relieved thank you very much Modee.

Modee I will come to you in a complex situation because your the man to call for those jobs. Your kinda like the transporter taking us through ebay problems :D

I dont really understand what hes trying to get at... for a second I was thinking ebay emailing you to verify your id?! haha!
