Ebay increased limits on accounts with less than 10 FBs

Today Ebay increased selling limits on 2 of my stalth accounts from 10/500 to 100/5000. One account has 6 feebacks, another - 8 feedbacks.
I opened this accounts in June 2012, sold about 10-15 items using each account. First account has 2 Ebay policy violations, second - 1 violation.
I was very surprised when recieved "Selling limits increased" letters from ebay today, because I have always thought that limits increase automatically only when you have 10+ feedbacks and under the condition that you do not have Ebay policy violations.
Strange situation, but I am happy :)

haha very unusual but good job!

just try not to get too many more violations or your nice increased limits accounts will be banned...

This also happened to me last night on a stealth account. Opened in June, sold first item Nov 27, total of 36 sales with only 9 feedback. Raised from 10/1000 to 100/5000.

Just curious, what was the date of first sale?

I do not remember exact dates, but both accounts were opened in June, I started to sell on first account in August-September, on second in October-November.

Some of us got some odd raises around the 12th this month.

And I have this thread about some crazy raises as well.

I too had a few accounts with raised limits. I was really exited and suprised especially since one only had 2 feedbacks on it. But no complaints here!!!

yungsc1005 03-28-2013 01:53 AM

SAME HERE GUYS!!!

Three of my accounts only have 3-4 feedbacks and I got a MC99 notice that I can sell 100 items or $5000 grand a month. YEEAAAHHHH! =}

Mr. Invisible 03-28-2013 09:35 AM

This is great... However, for US sellers unless you stealth with accounts out the country or have ein/llc accounts, we all know if your pace is 200/20000 your asking for SSN trouble.

My limits can go to 500/50000 within 10 days of opening, I'm still not pushing more than >$1000-1500 avg. per month in that account period.

HunterStudios 03-28-2013 10:16 AM

Same with me! I had 10+ accounts raised to 100/$5000.

Boy that is a good feeling reading all those emails!

Limit Increased!

Hello everyone 2 of my accounts got a limit increase today!

account a - 240/11k original 110/4800
account b - 100/4800 original 40/2600
account c - even though it is top rated seller with awesome feedback, no limit increase it is still 100/5000 :(!

im still happy though!!!!

Thanks! =}

Same here. I think eBay is starting to notice that by capping sellers to ridiculously low limits, they also kill their profits.

Sandy D 03-28-2013 06:17 PM

I see them looking at this at two fold.

1. Profits
2. Get people to list up to their limits so they will be forced to provide docs etc.

jamcocktail21 03-28-2013 08:28 PM

Same here i got 40 accounts 100/5000.Good job ebay :)

jamblix 03-28-2013 08:46 PM

Same boat here, an account I opened in November got the raise to 100/$5000 a couple days ago. It only has like 8 feedback too. When I logged into the gmail of the account it read "MC999" and my heart dropped, opened the mail and turns out it was limit RAISE!

My accounts have been raising constantly since 2013. Guess 13 ain't so unlucky after all...knock on wood.

I ave an account that had its limits raised to 50 at the two month mark and 14 days later they have raised the same account to 100? I didn't have to wait 30 days for another raise.

Oh... did you mean email not letters? Are ebay sending letters in the post now?

Typical innit

Entrapment of a not subtle type.

Bottom line is careful preparation of accounts, and operating under the radar as well as possible.
