Do you always mark as sent on paypal?
 

When selling on eBay, i ensure the tracking number is displayed on items sold on the eBay page, however I've just checked my PayPal, and Ive noticed at least several payments received i did not mark the item sold as being sent. Most of my buyers have given me + feedback, however is it utterly crucial that i mark it as sent on PayPal?

Yes I do and it is wise for you to do it as well.

If you print from ebay, it shows up in paypal (sometimes it lags, but it does show up)

If youre just selling from paypal (IE receiving payments) I still mark it as shipped.
You tend to raise flags when it is NOT marked as shipped or lack of tracking numbers.

Its just crossing another T and dotting all of your I's. Protect yourself.

Besides that you'll get your money released faster if it's being held....usually 3 days after confirmed delivery date.

What if you ship outside of Ebay or Paypal using USPS.com or Stamps? I mark it as shipped in Ebay. Are you saying there is a place in Paypal?

Yes when the customers pay you with Paypal there's a tab you can update with tracking and shipped.

Well, you can test the water with Paypals withdrawal system. I generally try not to withdraw more than I have sent, otherwise Paypal's bots might flag you, especially if you are a new seller or with Low feedback.

What I like to do on new accounts is try to withdraw and wait to see how many hours it states for withdrawal without having marked the last item is shipped. IE. I have 250 gbp in my PP, I haven't confirmed the 175 gbp camera as sent, and I try to withdraw 150 gbp. It may often say 24-72 hours, but if I confirm as sent(tracking or not) it often goes to 2 hrs.

Most items I use paypal to ship so the box shows up at shipped but on items too heavy and I use other sources I always going back in and add the numbers and make sure the box shows shipped.

I never bother with pp tracking as that info is in eBay. If the item sold somewhere else then yes I put the tracking in pp.

I vary it up - for big items, sure I marked shipped in both PP and eB and do tracking numbers. Little things I just focus on eB and wait for feedback.

If you add tracking info to the PayPal transaction it automatically updates ebay, not sure if it works the other way around

yes, adding the tracking info on pp will auto update ebay with it so no sense to do both

Yeah didn't used to be like that

automated but not sure if only automated when paypal is linked to ebay
