is this a scam or seller trying to pull a fast one
 

some people realy stoopid seller file a claim that the tracking 9400109699939774638669 show package deliver but he did not receive it



The case details:
The buyer has not received the item yet.
The buyer paid on Apr 06, 2013.

Additional information:
"Hi, it says item delivered but I have not receive it yet. Please can you check with carrier? Thanks"

The buyer requested:
A refund. The refund amount includes the purchase price plus original shipping.

My Reply
I will contact the post office to see what can be done, once the package show deliver there is not much i can do, most likely that's what the post office will tell me also, the post man scan the package at the time of delivery showing he did have it in his possesion when he arrived at your address, at 9.08am April 10 it leave the post office for delivery at 1.06pm April 10 the post man deliver it to your address, the post office will not file a lost claim if it show deliverd

Make sure you say something contacting the police for an investigation, this usually scares away scammers

Indeed. When I get these types, my reply is ( along the lines of)

Thank you for letting me know of issues with delivery.

I am contacting the PO where I despatched your item.

To help both of us, I will file a police report of possible mail fraud.

I will advise you of any details relevant to the case.

I always say I talked to the PO and they are sending the carrier to confirm who and where he delivered it. They always seem to find it than but why do you care if paypal will decide in your favor anyway once they see the tracking showing delivered or am I missing something?
