I met John back in September 1998 when he had around 4,000 or so feedback. He called me up one day and asked if I could cover him for some items he was short on. It wasn't too long after that he became the first seller on Ebay to break 10,000 feedback.

I half followed him over the years and it turned out he was cranking out supplies for ebay sellers by the truckloads. Kinda like selling shovels and Levis to 1849 miners in California.

Seems John had a bad turn of events. It's unbelievable how he could have been NARU'd. I can only guess something tragic happened that left no one to ship. If anyone knows what happened I'd love to know.

If anyone wants to fill his shoes I'm sure there is more than enough shipping supplies business from Ebay sellers to go around.

barginworld quit and maked bidtopia.com. They were doing so much in volume and paying so much fees, they just quit and made their own site.

I wonder how bidtopia.com turned out compared to selling on eBay profit wise...

They claim to be doing better than on ebay. If they own and sell on their own website, then they can charge themselves nothing, besides their website upkeep expense.
