Starting in September, all sellers will be protected on eligible transactions against claims, charge backs and reversals for unauthorized payments, and merchandise not received for items they ship to buyers in 190 markets worldwide--all at no extra cost. Even better: no more coverage limit. Plus you're covered for any shipping address--confirmed or unconfirmed--for items sold on eBay as long as you ship to the address on the transactions details page.

To help showcase all good sellers--even new sellers and lower volume sellers--we've lowered the number of DSRs required to get a promotion in Best Match search results. I dont really get the unconfirmed thing. Why would they even encourage shipping to an unconfirmed address in the first place, wouldnt this just increase buyer fraud? Even if the seller isnt liable (supposedly) it still seems odd to me.

The seller is always liable. They're not really improving anything. Note that the fine print says you need to show proof of delivery. If the buyer signs with a ⊗⊗⊗⊗ name when he gets the package, you're not covered.

HI:
Ive only had the "signature unknown" thing come up twice--BUT--with ups,
you can file a "Denial of signature"--then they have to pay the claim..OR-in my 2 cases--
they went out to the buyers house--then i get an email--"OH--we found the pkg"--
I think it must go against the drivers record if they continually loose pkgs??
