Buyer purchasing same item again even though first one has not been delivered
 

Buyer purchased one of item 2 days ago, the item was dispatched and is still in transit. Today just got another purchase from the same guy. Bare in mind he has a business PayPal. I contact him about this he hasn't responded, anyone faced issues with this sort of behavior before?

I usually send a second message and return receipt requested through email and of course a message through ebay system.

No response to second one then I sent another one stating the second item you purchased and paid for will be shipped today if I do not receive a message from you.

I am assuming you ordered two on purpose since you did not respond to my messages and will ship the second one today.

Of course assuming he has paid for both of them.

Could be either way, he made a mistake or needed two of them but for me I would cover myself just in case they ordered both.

Right so this is just to protect yourself in case he responds with "Oh i only meant to order one" right? Is there anything else he can pull? Also how do i request the read/receipt of the email by the buyer as i don't see any option when sending a message?

I had a person order 5 of something - 1 each on consecutive days - I dont ship right away anyhow so I e-mailed stating the fact after every purchase.

He was good with it - had solid feedback - pp was verified - no issues in the past - was cool with offering phone number if I had any questions for him.

It would not be in the ebay messaging. I meant in your email program. If you use gmail and you have his email ( which you can get ) then send the email with the read/receipt portion in the gmail account.

Dont know what you are using for email.

Have you tried to get the contact info of the buyer? There was an option on eB that allowed you to pull it - ring him/her up

i dont get it? if the guy bought it, paid for it...ship it and be done with it?

hardybents it is not that common to get one buyer ordering same item before first one has even arrived that is why mynameis being cautious about best way to deal with this, ebay isn't exactly scam free, op has not said what kind of feedback the buyer has, how well established on the platform they are, that will of course influence how it should be dealt with. Op wanted to. Put this out to see what more experienced forum members' experiences with anything like this scenario might be.

I would just ship it, depends it's a strange item to want 2 of?

Plenty of reasons he decided he wanted another.. by all means email him, but if no reply then make sure you ship on time and get proof of delivery if possible.

I don't know how people find the time!

I like to comment now and again to try and give some sort of help back, although I'm not that knowledgeable really.. But I try.. Must be like a badge of honour lol.

Oh yes your right there Geegee, it's one of those that slipped by, definately an oldish thread, good job it wasn't any older as well eh, some go way back to the '07's, at least it didn't how that far back. You seen couple of recent posts that Aspkin getting ready to bring out latest update on the stealth guide, super news.
