does ebay (ebay store) name matter?

Right now I only have one non stealth account. I am working on getting so,e back ups going, but that is for a different thread.

Does your eBay name matter? Right now mine is same as one of my emails. I plan to open a store in the next couple days. Should I use the same generic name, or come up with something clever? Does anyone think it matters?

When I opened my first store I put a lot of thought into the name of it, but none at all for the few after, and to be honest I noticed very little difference. I did have UK in some store names though, being from the UK and all, and I did noticed they sold a bit more product, but that may just be down to chance.

No way would I have the same name that makes up an email address.

Should the account get limited or checked manually, that same info links you.

Have a name not associated with an email.

Just out of question does that stand the same for the email address linked to that particular EB account? I have for the last few weeks used pretty much the same name for the stealth EB as the stealth email address linked to that corresponding email with only slight alteration.

@James

Rather than answer strangely, what exactly do you mean?

Sorry, I did not realise that the answer was strange. You said to not have a user name the same as an email. Does that apply to the email linked to that particular account. For example, if my email address is 1234, shoud I avoid having 1234 as my username for that account and have something totally unrelated such as 5678. Hope that clarifies the questions a bit more :)

GreenBean 05-01-2013 06:45 PM

I keep the info totally unrelated.

It was my concern I might reply strangely....

Shall take note for future accounts.

So I will be changing my ebay seller name when I create my store.

Would it be bad to use a name that is associated with wordpress blog I am creating about deals (not selling on that blog)?

Personally, I like to keep my user ID and all names as random as possible. I might use the name of my tooth paste or last can of Cola I drank. Tires on my car. I use absolutely random stuff that has no link back to me. Especially for stealth. I think the more random the better especially if you run multiple stealth accounts.
