anyone have experience selling comic books on ebay? pros/cons? best way to ship? selling 1 at a time or by boxes/sets? any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Sold comics in the past - single units - lot of people like bulk sales to get rid of stock though since these days, unless you own vintage, it's not a great sale market.

depends on the value of each comic.
If you have them appraised or checked current money making titles then 1 by 1

If youre looking to move a bunch of not so good ones then sell in bulk.

Either way, pack them well. especially the vintage ones.

One page issue and you get a case.

Vintage comics can sell very well, but they can also sit on the site for a while before anyone buys them, much like high end designer cloths, that has at least been my experience, but I have only sold a few comics.

Go over all the listings in this category. Get a feel for how other sellers describe these items.

Be very careful with your listing.

Be even more careful with your packing.

Be aware of buyers who will dispute your items.

CLEARLY define your item AND your return policy.

Category attracts whackos.

Basically like any "collectable" from the 1970's forward. Usually the only with value are the ones produced before whatever it is became popular.

There are a few niche or individual items that are worth selling individually.

Then there are lots that were mass produced and people were suckered into buying as investments and "collectables". Mass produced to say the least.

Just go through them and do your homework. Should be pretty easy to figure out if are worth selling individually or as a lot.

High end ones must be insured and sent with tracking - protect yourself...the buyers of high end collectibles of this category can be very knowledgeable on screwing the seller.

thanks for replies..i guess the most important thing about listing comics is grading them correctly and packaging them tightly so the corners dont get damaged. thanks!

Yes among tracking and insurance - buyers will DESTROY you if the comic is not mint...or as described
