Ebay vs Amazon

I have an Ebay seller account with 1000 positive feedback and no negative that I have not sold on in a long time. I just listed some items for sale. I was just wondering how hard it is to have multiple Ebay accounts compared to Amazon. Where are the differences?

From everything I have read, I think it would be easier to have multiple eBays, especially if you want to list several of the same items on each account. Amazon seem a step or two ahead on being able to link account compared to eBay. My opinion at least

Think of ebay as basic math, and amazon as calculus.

eBay is FAR behind technologically compared to amazon that theres no comparison

Great analogy

Very easy to have multiple eBay accounts - stealth as usual, different window user accounts, different IP and away you go. Dont cut corners though

i believe there is money to be made off of amazon but be prepared to:

be shut down more often
be reviewed more often
have your account disappear and never receive the money

if you can't handle those then stay on ebay

What about tax info for PayPal? EINs?

Amazon seems to look at a few more metrics than eBay; like I hear but haven't personally verified if it's correct or not, Amazon checks if 54% of your listings match any recently suspended (90 days ago) accounts. If you're listing 54% or more of the same things then Amazon thinks you're the same person. From what I've heard they may also be checking MAC addresses and hiding things in your Adobe Flash cache.

eBay doesn't seem to do that sort of stuff and from what I've experienced the older the account the less eBay watches you. Amazon seems to keep watching. eBay also seems to back down if they do something and you talk to them as if you're a lawyer (do the research and point out the actual legal flaws/loopholes). Easiest example: Amazon doesn't make exceptions on things like the 21 day hold on money; they rather you take them to court. If you tell eBay the right thing they'll bend over and take it where the sun doesn't shine. It's still easier to make a new account but overtime, if you want to spend countless hours with enough arguments back and forth, you'll get an account that eBay basically won't touch.

They both have some random querks too, like PayPal won't verify if you use a GreenDot account unless you also do a phone verification. Use something else like an eTrade account and you skip that problem. I've found that Amazon seems to look less carefully at accounts if you make an iCloud.com address and use that instead of Gmail.

Personally I like selling on Amazon more, the customers just seem "better" for lack of a good term. I've just had less problems, but eBay is the easier one to deal with because Amazon does not budge.

Same requirements. Also you may be asked for your SSN.

Ebay is a careful preparation game as is using PayPal. Avoid being messy like a little of your amazon was.
With this old account you revived be prepared for PayPal holds. Read heaps to see this side of ecommerce

To beat Amz, you must be a good Liar, Hacker and Deep Thinker.

Liar: make up something that AMZ thinks that's true and real.

Hacker: you have to learn a lot of thing about computer - believe me basic computer user won't have the ability to run 2 seller accts at the same time.

Deep Thinker: do you think 1 + 1 = 2 ? if yes then ($1 dollar + 1 laptop = 2 ????)

The Macc Address : A0:11:22:33:44:55 = A0:11:22:33:44:55 ?

What if?
Macc Address of Win XP = A0:11:22:33:44:55
Macc Address os Win 7 = A0:11:22:33:44:55

Actually, AMZ won't be able to read the client's computer Macc Address. The above is just giving an example.
