Just almost had a heart attack I received a MC999 to every email , but it was a reminder that July 1, 2013 there is a new photo requirement of 500pickel photo on long side , no water marks that are advertisement and no stock photos for primary picture.

Wow thought I was toast, anyone else just receive this??

I got the same on one account an hour or so ago.

......now got to clean all the coffee of my ipad that got spat out.

got 2 on 2 accounts for the last 2 weeks straight

I just saw one of these. It told me that it was going to list the items that needed new photos, but the list was blank.

Yea if there was nothing listed than all ur photos are good on 2 accounts there was couple items listed all the rest blank so I'm assuming all was to standard

received them in all my accounts.

Actually have not received this email at all.

I just got this email too for all 10 of my accounts. Time to grab new images.

I got this on all accounts. Fixed all images, and got it again, but contained no listings that were in violation. Clearly ebay has installed a program in their system to scan all images and if they are 500 pixels on one side they warn you, which will turn into a violation on the 1st, but for now they are warning everyone. This is a dumb rule.

I also got one for one of my accounts.
In fact they require actual picture for USED items, not stock picture, and also about the size of picture.
They listed item numbers but it was the one I already sold.

Seen a few of these for my accounts diddling with smaller pics - No worries - time to fix up

So what's the situation on July 1st? Are they going to just delete a lot of ads that have texts in them. For the items I sell, quantity is very important to show the customer so most sellers including myself write 1X, 2X, 3X etc on the photo so the customer understand they will be receiving 3 of that unit. With this whole text situation, I have to delete 200 ads, and also it'll be harder trying to make it clear for the customer what they are really buying in terms of quantity etc...

P.S. Some of my ads have around 200 sales record, helping it come up nicely in the "Best Match" searches, but by deleting it, not only I'll lose "Best Match", I'll lose the sales record that would had convinced customers to make the purchase more confident seeing that others had also bought from me.

That's what the new guidelines state you may have a watermark but No Advertisements, violating this will result in listing removal. They started this warning a year ago and will enforce starting July 1 , so they are serious

Does this rule apply to other eBay sites (non eBay.com ?)

I have few accounts selling on other sites and I have never heard of this rule from eBay.

This is just a new eBay rule. It should not apply to any other sites. Each website sets its own rules.

If your pics aren't the right size I think this was mentioned but I fixes a couple today really quick using the paint program on windows you can resize any image by pixel, real easy

I have accounts there and I have not received any notice or warning. Only my ebay.com accounts.

Got this on my original account and about died on the spot when I saw the MC999.

Whew. Scare the heck outta me.

Got an MC999 this morning myself.

Easy fix just use paint or photoshop and resize your pic to 500 pix

Time to fix - stat.
