Call to raise selling limits

My limits are 100/5000 right now on a TRS account all DSR's are above 4.97

Lots of sales on this account and this is my main account that has no payment holds so would like to sell more on it

Does anyone know what kind of questions they ask when called?

Also what are my chances of getting raised above 100/5000?

GreenBean 06-09-2013 07:57 PM

Have you read a thing on the forums?

A big risk to do this.

dhunter0294 06-09-2013 08:00 PM

Yes i have read, you're saying not to do it?

some people say they have done it and gotten outrageous increases, some dont and get accounts shut down

GreenBean 06-09-2013 08:02 PM

I am saying carefully consider the risk.

Describe your account more

:juggle:

Sandy D 06-09-2013 08:04 PM

You answered your own question then.

Every time you call ebay it is a risk.

Be prepared to lose the account(s) if you are willing to take that risk.

I work too hard to build them to have ebay wipe it clean in seconds.

Percentages are not very good.

dhunter0294 06-09-2013 08:19 PM

400+ 100% feedback

13k in sales this year, paypal tax verified with EIN / legit LLC

Dmshark25 06-09-2013 08:25 PM

Don't risk your account , yes there's a chance you will get a raise but also a big chance you will get asked for ID, invoices and than shut down, keep your selling up to limits and high DSRs and your limits will increase be Patient

dhunter0294 06-09-2013 08:31 PM

Ok good advice, thank u

GB and Sandy D duo have confirmed your assumption...not more is needed to be clear.

Your action is at your own discretion but listen to them.

danshan 06-10-2013 01:57 PM

this all really depends on your skill level. I feel comfortable on accounts I know I can get by verification questions. Now on accounts I am not so sure I can I NEVER call for limit increases. I say with good info on the account 70 good 30 bad for increases for shaky accounts 80 bad 20 good

just my two and half cents of advice

Sandy D 06-10-2013 02:23 PM

An account 1 1/2 years old should already be getting some decent limits.

No way would I risk that account.

I would just have a ton of others up and running spreading sales and building time, trust and a locker full of accounts to cover how many products you have to sell.

dhunter0294 06-10-2013 08:58 PM

I've already did the verification questions, that got me raised from 70/1800 to 100/5000.

I have hit 100 item limit for 4 months straight and still no increase, I've read you really need to hit both the item limit and $ limit but thats really hard to do in my category especially with auction listings.

@ SD yes thats what i'm going to try and do just get some different accounts going besides my 3 sleepers I have that I dont use.

bramblewill 06-12-2013 03:27 AM

My ebay account is 2005 600+positive feedback I have been selling maximum 100 items a month for the past 4 months would like it raised but I don`t want to rock the boat. Are you guys saying ebay might raise that selling limit of their own accord? Or is that wishful thinking?

Dmshark25 06-12-2013 03:30 AM

Yes just keep selling to limits and keep DSRs high and eventually u will get raises, phoning in puts your account at risk why would anyone do this, just create more accounts , that's how to raise limits

rsot 06-12-2013 04:54 AM

@dhunter, make your life easier and build new accounts

Been higher limits handed out by ebay UK in the past months that have been most pleasant even if unexpected.

To avoid the possibility of ID issues, consider waiting.

Good Luck

EVO 06-12-2013 12:07 PM

I do not think they will ask you your Invoices or any other documents which are hard to submit.
They'll usually just ask verbal questions, like what are your goals on eBay? Do you have anyone to manage your account? Where do you get your goods from? or sometimes they just check their system to show if you are eligible for the limit increase or not. If your performance is below standard in USA you will not get a limit increase.

parker1608 06-13-2013 07:16 AM

They will ask u what u sell ? where is your item come from ? Do u have any supplier ? What is the suppier name , then they will request u send supplier information or invoice .

They can and have in the past - not "hard" per say but supplier stuff

mobilecontractsuk 06-13-2013 04:18 PM

I can confirm that they have requested documents from me.

rsot 06-18-2013 01:14 PM

And these documents can be handled skillfully and creatively if needed

djsunny 06-18-2013 04:38 PM

I called ebay yesterday to get more limit and they asked me couple of questions and that's it they have increased the limit from 25/1000 to 100/3000

GoteBay 06-18-2013 07:33 PM

Lower limits like 10/$1000 or 50/$3500 are cheap to raise. If you got 100/$5000, keep you big mouth shut and go Stealth to supplement your listing. Guard your legit account and trade listings to shield it if possible. Never jump into a lion's den even if the lion was sleeping.

bigboddie 06-18-2013 11:05 PM

Op here's what kind of questions they will ask you, they will rattle of questions with a choice of one of three answers 5 different times if you give all 5 correct choices your limits will be raised. Be warned they dig deep for multiple choice questions, very deep. Like what county was your first pet spayed/neutered in, no joke really! As long as you infos tight your in the clear.

Dmshark25 06-19-2013 10:26 AM

When I had my original account before stealth wow just thinking back of the crazy mistakes I made thinking everything was ok so naive, so wish I had known about this forum and the ebay stealth guide than if still have my account.

But I called in to raise my limits which were 100/5000 , i had this limits 2 weeks after opening my account I guess when all your info checks out with a ss# they know they have u if anything goes wrong . When I called they just asked where I got my inventory from and quickly checked my performance which was 100% and have me another 50 items, I than sold them 50 within 5 days and so foolishly called for another raise and they said I needed to wait since they gave me a raise already

A few days later I got MC999 and was no longer able to sell just buy, their reason was I'm a really good seller(100% almost perfect DSRs) but the decision was made and it is FINAL, great reason right

I don't know for sure because now knowing stealth which gives you the correct way to operate ebay I know I made so many other moves that would be outrageous but I think if I would of not called for a raise I wouldn't of been shut down at that point but I know I would of been shut down at some time, ahhhhh if only I knew stealth than I'd still have the account

So if anyone is thinking of calling in for limit raises and I know I mentioned all this many other times, DO NOT CALL EBAY, everything they tell u to do is a lie and if u do it it's just a way to put your account under Manuel review which more times than not will get u shut down

For limit raises be patient sell to limits, ship out fast, get high DSRs and you will get raises once all my accounts were around the 3 month mark they all got raises some multiple within days

Congrats - the general consensus still remains on not calling eB...problems can arise with requesting for ID.

I do understand but it's the way you answer them and I do not sell vero I sell parts bought from Europe and taiwan so I gave them real company details and they didn't ask for anything else.

dhunter0294 06-19-2013 10:36 PM

Patience paid off I didn't call, just got raised to 500/25k. I also have stealth accounts running but this is my main business account with an EIN linked.

Dmshark25 06-19-2013 10:38 PM

Great job, everything good takes time there is no magic except hardwork

I would only call EB or PP if I had nothing to loose. It's just not worth any risk to throw away all the work that has been done to create the acct.

GB said it, "have you not been reading anything here?"

toml3030 06-20-2013 01:19 PM

Can I get an AMEN to this?

One of the main goals of stealth should be not to have any human go over your account, EVER.

Sorry to bring up an old thread but I would like to know how the OP got limits raised before the beginning of next month?

He started the thread on 9th June13 and ten days later he says he got a substantial increase?

Re: Call to raise selling limits

Calling ebay to raise limit ? NOT A GOOD IDEA. samething happed to me as Dmshark25.
Call to raised limit and ebau did it then few days later got hit w/ MC999...
I think once you call them, ebay put you under their rader...PlZ dont call just let the a/c age.
and grow slowly. .

Sometimes when all the planets are aligned ebay gives limit increases out of the blue. Lately I've had accounts go from 10/$1,000 to 30/$3,000.
