Just curious what you guys do when lets say you have a product listed for $50 BIN and some eBayer send you a message offering to give you $20 for it. Personally if someone is going to offer me less than half of what I have it listed for and usually less than I paid for I am just going to not respond and proceed to block them. Just curious how other people handle these kind of buyers.
It also seems like in the past when I did try to deal with people like this they would always nit pick and find little things to complain about even if I did sell them something for much less than I had it listed for.

I know exactly what you mean. It seems like the people who cut you down on price the most are the same ones who nit pick. My advice is you know what your product is worth and know it can sell to reasonable people. So just don't sell to people like this. It will only cause you headaches.
I either decline outright if it is a stupid offer, or counter offer if it is reasonably close to what I would accept. The buyers that want the item for cheapest generally cause the most headaches though as they have some very high expectations.
Decline or not respond - I don't waste on this...I don't even block the buyer, not worth the extra step since he/she didn't do anything wrong....just trying for a lower price hah

I always counter offer at what Im willing to take. I know I am clueless but i try to to act like my online business is a real business. I treat visitors and buyers as I would in person.
I will set my offers to automatically decline below a certain amount. I don't have to deal with it that way.
I don't have a best offer function on my listings. I am talking about people who actually clog up your message box saying they will offer you X Amount for the item.
Yea, I agree though if I had a best offer function on my listing I would have it decline any offer lower than I would ever consider.

What's the problem with trying? I do this all the time. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesnt. Its business, nothing more or less

To be honest my biggest problem is even if I do accept an offer for one of these people. It is never enough they always end up finding something to complain about. I am not talking about someone who makes a ballpark offer either. I am talking about the person who makes an offer that is so low I actually to an extent find them offensive.
Over the years I have seen trends from certain types of questions and buyers self-identifying themselves as problematic. I must disclose though I would rather miss out on 2 or 3 sales than have to take 1 return or deal with somebody who is going to be a headache.
