Ebay on the Road?
 

Hi Friends,

I am considering a lifestyle change and had a question about selling ebay products from 2 locations.

I am wanting to follow the good weather (in USA) and leave the south (hot ass hell) and move to the Mid-west or NCarol. for 8 mths out of the year.

I know next to nothing about selling on Ebay----but i am searching for a product to start with now.

My question:
I noticed some posts regarding IP addresses, etc and wondered if there was a danger in doing business from 2 different locations?

You may be asked to verify yourself either by phone or your security question if you use different locations. This happens to me a lot.

Your best bet would be the following:
Make sure you build history, and cookies. You can log into Ebay/Paypal from 2 different locations,IP's but the cookies and history are going to be crucial.

Exactly. I travel quite a bit during certain parts of the year. Log into WiFi and hot spots at different places across the country. I am assuming because I am using the same PC/Windows user with all my cookies and flash cookies saving my history with eBay. I have never been bothered.

However, I do always have my phone that I use with eBay ready just in case I do have to do the phone verification.

It has been done by quite a few - make sure you keep cookies in place and staying in the same country is good.

When you get going in stealth, you will learn to make user accounts & have cookies etc in place. Your account will will also have an active phone number.

Porvided you operate carefully you should be OK.

EG, I would not open the account one day & use one IP. Then 3 days later sign in from another IP.... silliness like that flags the account
