Was able to use held funds to buy postage through ebay shipping
 

I just printed out postage from ebay and it had two boxes under the buy postage button , one box said pay now using available Paypal funds and the other pay later when held funds are released so I checked this box and was able to print out postage.

This was the first time I had this option , has others experienced this recently??? In the past couple months most of my accounts have had the 21 day hold lifted but when they were all new I never was able to use held funds to buy postage.

If ebay is allowing us to use held funds to buy postage would be great option.

I have all US accounts

With all of my new accounts, I was given the option to pay now or pay later. Strange that you did not receive the option before.

Yea this is the first time and I have many accounts going and never had this on any, even this account which is 2 months old never allowed me this option until today

Been this way for a long time.

I have used this method for a while not and its great.
They will be deducted after money is available and they actually give you a tracking number free of charge.

So weird , now after I'm all setup again and have cash flow my new accounts are just now giving this option, could of used this 7 months ago

I could only get the pay later option after I linked PP acct for payment and then hit the back key and refreshed the page. Did this on a brand new stealth acct. & then tried it on a 60 day acct. that had not had the option and it worked! Just sayin. I think last year it came up right away and another time before I knew about the NO CALL rule I got it activated by calling EB. Never again.

I tried that in May. I had $6 in PP. I said use ebay shipping money. the postage was $11. it took my $6 PP and went into my bank account and took out the other $5.

I cancelled the postage - and it said I must wait $30 days for USPS to refund the cancelled postage.

It did not take shipping from the buyer's payment. i checked the correct box for using funds from buyer's payment for shipping.

Two weeks later I received a returned payment to PP for $6 and the bank account for $5.

It's just another unexplainable thing that ebay does

As sandy said, its been this way a long time now.
You need a cc on file for it to happen though.

If the postage is more than the item, it will take the money from the CC on file.

Must be a way to have set the difference to be taken from your credit card...?
