Does anyone here have an ebay store? Or is it strictly auctions?

My primary ebay account, the only one I use currently (I do have a backup account waiting in the wings should something go wrong),is in good stranding, uses all my real info, paypal is hooked to one of my actual accounts etc so I have nothing about it that needs to stay below the radar, I was looking at the store fee illustrator today and based on my typical sales it seems I could save about $30 a month in fees, which would be nice. But I'm just wondering if there are any pitfalls to having a store vs auctions that anyone has come across personally. Does anyone here currently have one or have you in the past? If so would you say yay or nay?

I had one, But, I found it is cheaper to have things as BINs set to 'good until canceled' option. I do not sell too much on ebay. So, it didnt pay for me.

Only thing about a store is that the FVFs were reduced. Which means nothing if you sell in small batches like I did. But if you were a major seller, the fee reduction would come in handy.

lower fees and more free listings... do the math, BIN or auction that helps depending on your vol

I do have a store on my main account. Only thing I don't like about it is you have to pay to schedule listings. All the other non-store accounts I have to schedule an auction is free with those 50 free listings each money.

If you get to above 200-300 listings

stores are useful, especially if you have high margin, low turnover items.

It definitely pays if you list in volume. There is a calculator on eBay that shows you how many listings you need to have to come out ahead using their store option.

Stores for high volume accounts. Non store for baby accounts in training or testing new markets.

If you are running US stealth accounts and can't comply with the 20k 1099k law usually a store is out of the question. Just based on what it costs to have and your maximum number of sales.

If you are running a fully verified account I do think they are a very good option if you have the volume. And like somebody else said if you have lots of items with slower turnover it can make doing business quite a bit cheaper as well.
