Labeling Photos

Hey-
Anyone know a good photo labeling software? Or a solution other than taking the photo, then having to manually change thousands of pics?

Do you mean, renaming the names on your picture files?

JamesNorth101 07-11-2013 05:24 PM

Do you mean a software that automatically describes what you are taking a picture of? That would be a useful bit of kit.

If you mean watermarking the photos, I don't think eBay allows that anymore. It DOES tend to look bad.

if you are asking for watermarking
watermark factory does the job well for me

you design the look of the watermark, then you can stamp all photos in a selected
folder with it

i think watermarks are still allowed if you put just a user id or a name, no additional info like web addresses or emails...

Yes water marks are allowed just no advertisements

^^ LOL. and a software that automatically makes accounts would help alot.

I am talking about a software that would append a preset ascending code, for the custom id tag.
So, start at say 1000.a, 1000.b, 1000.c, 1000.d (that would be for 4 different pictures of the same item). Then 1001.a, etc etc and so on.
We have a custom listing program, the program grabs the pics automatically from the server by custom id code, but I have to pay someone to manually enter the codes on the pic. Very time consuming and leads to errors. There are labeling softwares out there, but nothing that I have found that does this.

Re: Labeling Photos

Bumping this rather than asking again.
We have a number of people taking pictures, we take 5 pictures of each unit. We assign each unit a unique number for stocking/inventory purposes. Is there a software out there that a camera can be connected to the software that when a pic is taken it will automatically append the unique name to it? We batch then all then a script uploads all to our server. I can custom program it, but was wondering if anyone knew of a software that would do this for you.
