Ok, thie is weird?

When I logged into my legit ebay AND amazon (NOT ONLY 1) account I got redirected to a page with an owl (made out in characters) with "O RLY?" underneath it.

This only happened when I tried going into eBay or Amazon, not cnn, google, or any other website.

As much as i tried going to these sites, goggling a product on amazon and clicking on it, I would always get redirected to the page with the owl.

What?

As soon as I cleared all browsing history and cookies, it worked like a charm... I logged in and no issues what so ever.

Also, there was no unauthorized usage on my accounts or anything like that, everything was normal.

Is it safe to say I got hacked?

What Antivirus/Firewall software are you using?

Zero123 07-15-2013 02:10 PM

Same thing with one of my stealth's, but not the other one I tried logging into.

I don't use one...

You don't use one???? why? lol. You might as well let everyone know your willing to get hacked without a fight!

I would get something fast like AVG free and download it. Run it to clean your computer, you have something on it. I am sure of it or your money back.

I wouldn't say you got hacked.. but your browser def got hijacked.

AVG... kinda sucks now, the way most AV stuff just takes over your whole machine, slows it down, then the constant b/s pop ups and warnings makes normal people think the computer is now scary.

just grab MS security essentials, then toss on malwarebytes anti malware and be done.

your greatest ally is COMMON SENSE.

I was running norton but they wanted to charge $19.99 to renew it for another year, so I opted out.... Should I just renew that?

Or at least get a free one like AVG for now...or trials of Avast aor eset - worthwhile to purchase a license in this day and age...

Along with spyware removal too :)

FFS. Google the net and get Protection as soon as possible. Or listen to suggestions given here

Better options than AVG exist

Stop surfing sites that might compromise your computer and your business
