Faxing in documents on eBay
 

When you are faxing documents in from your own personal fax, can eBay see the phone number related to the fax and stuff? Or does the fax just come in.

I can't get linked back to a previous account which was under my home phone number..

A phone number is on the top on a fax......

what! Wow, that is scary. Is there anyway to send a fax the same way one calls as restricted so eBay does not know who it is coming from.

Faxing documents around here is very expensive, I have done it twice and both times they charged $10 for 4 pages --- $2.50 a page - ridiculous!

Maybe a local library would offer to do it for free, but even then if the account is in another state 200 miles away it will raise flags...

Ebay recommends faxzero. Worked for me. Use your stealth email/stealthname when sending.

eBay won't see your IP will they?

Not sure about IP. I would say no but be extra safe and do it from stealth IP.

When you sen a MANUAL fax via fax machine, you can edit the info send to avoid printing your phone number on the received document.

That being said, if you fax to a tollfree number, they can still date stamp log the sending fax number. If it's NOT a tollfree number, you can hide the number actively too

I use fax zero for almost everything I need unless I need to fax multiples to a business or something.

If I remember you can send 2 or 4 pages for free. It has been a while since I sent ebay anything at all.
