| keith4142 | 07-26-2013 03:47 PM | I have 30 plus PlayStation 4 systems to sell this November. What is the best way? So basically I have over 30 PS4 systems pre-ordered and ideally would like to list these on ebay... but with 5000 dollar selling limits I don't see how I am going to be able to sell them all in a week... any advice? |
JamesNorth101 | 07-26-2013 04:15 PM | Need to sell them on more than 1 account. Start creating stealths now and they will age at least a bit before you need to sell the PS4.
Another option is to buy a pre-made account from a forum seller. |
SaiJin | 07-26-2013 04:16 PM | DO you think PS4 is going to sell like hot cakes?
I think it'll be just like the Wii U. Plenty of supply, no? |

Personally, I wait until the mad rush dies down. I don't need to have the fanciest thing right out of the gate. |
Reminds me of the Twinkie fiasco! lol. |

Perfect time to start up stealth and get ready for the Holiday Buying Season.
You should also make sure you have the product in hand ready to ship.
Hi profile item may bring attention. |

If so, keep the start price low and you'll be fine if you go over.
Keep in mind, prepare for your paypal to get limited if you suddenly have a huge selling week.
If you aren't prepared to give paypal your life story I would start creating stealth accounts. |
Swiftronics | 07-26-2013 06:09 PM | Start getting feedback on PS3 consoles right away and these particular devices. For eBay and PayPal is how much you sell and what products you sell. Prepare receipts or invoices, you still have a few months before the release date, get some history selling Sony PS3, expansion to PS4 devices will not come to shock when eBay reviews these listings. This is how I started selling high priced items and electronics on ebay, best of luck! |
keith4142 | 07-26-2013 06:19 PM | I have been working on buying and reselling games to give myself some feedback and status. I think that if I start buying and reselling PS3's now and get my selling limits up to a decent amount. Then I might be able to pre-sale quite a few of them and then sell the rest after release. Might be able to spread out my sales over three different months.
Has anyone done anything like this before with previous console generations? I figure its a win win. If they don't sell out I can just cancel my orders / return them. |

If you start a few stealths now, your limits will be increased to where you need them to be by the time November comes - which is the expected release date for PS4.
Best of luck. |
keith4142 | 07-26-2013 08:55 PM | Looks like my only option is several stealth account as ebay probably won't like the idea of me selling 30 + consoles like this. I imagine they will hold the funds on the account and etc... Even though its 100% legit... |

Even though its 100% legit... | If you start working accts now. You can get to a point where the 21 day hold may be lifted off your PP accts.
Even so, if you ship quickly and no qualms from buyers your funds will be released in less then the max 21 days. |
jeffweico | 07-26-2013 10:27 PM | The best way to sell them depends on how hot the market is. If demand for these is on fire, then an auction with a low starting bid would work very well. If demand is moderate then an auction with a higher starting bid would be my choice. If there are no shortages of these and they are available everywhere, then I would stick with Buy It Now.
When you sell these, do yourself a favor and follow eBay's rules to avoid any heartache later on. Specifically, ONLY ship to the PayPal confirmed address with NO exceptions. Keep proofs of your purchase of these on file, just in case eBay asks for it. Insure each package and ABSOLUTELY use SIGNATURE confirmation as well as delivery confirmation. |
And maybe some Insurance....just in case! |
keith4142 | 07-27-2013 02:06 AM | lol I am fully aware of how ebay selling precautions work, I was more looking for solutions to solving the selling limits problem as I expect these to sell for 1000 a piece. Selling 30k in systems in 2 days was the issue... |
studio | 07-27-2013 02:13 AM | I remember the wii launch in 2007. wow that was insanely profitable. for some reason Germany had 100s available. We drove a van over and picked up 100s. we could sell 30 a day on eBay UK and almost double our money |

However, apply yourself now. By the time of release, you may be in a good place to sell them.
Decide now what type of buyer you want to attract. Make a rock solid listing for them to reduce issues.
Good Luck

He did a couple of trips for that gear.
Happy days.

keith4142 | 07-28-2013 10:49 AM | Ok! First Ebay Stealth Account has been created!
So how many accounts do you guys recommend I create?
I plan on selling a few items on each new account and build the feedback up to 10 or so, and let them age till the end of November..
Am I going to end up listing one Playstation 4 on these and then immediately get restricted and shut down due to low feedback and such a high risk item? |

There is no known exact science of their methods...other than it being random.
Be prepared to have at least 5 or more. Quote:

| Not if you practice stealth methods properly...meaning you list other household items to slowly build up accounts. Aging a new stealth account doesn't mean just opening it and letting it sit there doing nothing. There's some work that needs to be done first. |

| As you start to build more, make sure you stay organized and details of each.
Do not cross information, keep it separate to avoid account links.
