Paypal funds were placed on hold now reversed, Is it safe spend my money now?
 

Okay, this is a long story,
I sold a refurbished Xbox 360 console in early june.

on July 10th my buyer opened a case saying "item not as described" so paypal held the money that the xbox sold for ($94) I immediatley responded to the case and also sent the buyer a message saying "I recieved the case notifiaction, what is your reason for return" .

Then 3 days later (July 13th) He replies saying it stopped working and he demands a full refund, so i then replied saying Ok sorry for the issue, please return the console and once i recieve it i will issue the refund,

Today is July 25th and i have not recieved the console back yet. I had heard that after 30 days without buyer responding to case it will be closed is that true?,

But all of a sudden today (July 25th) The $94 was placed back into my account. So does this mean the case is over so i am able to spend the money without worry that the buyer will still return the item? The case is still showing as open.

You say the case is still open does it say waiting for buyer response or does it say "take action"??

If paypal reversed the funds your fine to spend it. Paypal gives two weeks for returns or proof of claim. Chances are the X-Box worked fine, the goon was just trying to scam you for a refund and still keep the console. This hussle is common as cockroaches these days.

Again don't worry ebay will only give him x amount of time to respond. One thing you can do is call ebay resolution center on the phone explain your case and I promise they will decide in your favor. I've done this many times and always win every case.

If the case is still showing as open, you may not be allowed to move the funds in all likelihood. The monies may have been placed in your account because pp is foreseeing a non-response and will close case out soon...
