| | | vogeltron | 07-28-2013 02:53 AM | Selling limits still not increased Just curious if anyone has had this happen to them with selling limits. I have an account that has been opened since about this time last year. I start selling about 3-4 months ago. I have 20 selling feedback all 4.9's or 5.0 DSR's, no 1 or 2 DSRs, no returns or disputes and I am still stuck at the 10/$1000 selling limit. I also have about 30 or so buying feedback real items not fluff for starting an account.
This is by far the longest it has ever taken for eBay to lift limits. Just curious if anyone else who has had many accounts had this happen to them. Thanks |
| Ukdirect | 07-28-2013 03:24 AM | Are you selling to your limits every month? Although you opened the account over a year ago you have only been selling for 3 months, as a general rule your selling limits won't increase until you have been selling for 90+ days |
| vogeltron | 07-28-2013 04:32 AM | I at 3/4ths of my item limit every month. I am more trying to increase my # of items than anything else. But yes, I have been selling for over 90 days. This is by far the longest it has taken for eBay to lift the limits. |
| JJGold | 07-28-2013 06:40 AM | I have a couple of accounts that are stuck at 10/1000 and are over a year old. They were made exactly the same way as accounts that are now 450/26,500. It happens, just make more accounts. |
@vogeltron and JJGold, I have few US accounts (3 I count) that are at max sales every month for about 2 years now with no automatic increases (10/1000) - I don't bother calling it. Quite annoying though
Better than limit reduction I guess - which has happened to me recently without justification |
| GreenBean | 07-28-2013 07:33 AM | Makes over 8 users who have spoken about this.
Like Sandy D said, it's the luck (or otherwise) of that dart thrown by ebay.
Accounts just plod along.
Rather sad.

Given they are USA based, is it worthwhile?
ebay suxs.

:brushteeth: | I sold on those accounts for max of 10 to keep them active - they did not rise automatically - thankfully I have other accounts.
Not worthwhile to my operations but worthwhile to experiment with and have for light selling activity... |
| chino4love | 07-28-2013 07:44 AM | I've been a member since april 07/13 started with 10/$1000. Then after two months they raised 30 items and now i have about 40 selling feedbacks and 75 as buyer. Hopefully next month they do the 100 items :D |

If you have a limit of 10 items and $100, sell all 10 items, every month. If you sell only 8 or 9, eBay will not increase the limit. That's from my own personal experience. |

:surrender: | Does that mean I will never get an increase I max out numbers but never amount. |
| Dmshark25 | 07-28-2013 01:57 PM | All my accounts been getting nice raises some already 2-3 raises and only under 90 days old, but I have one account that is 7 months old and I sell every month to the limits and not one raise.
But Paypal released its 21 day hold 4 months ago so I still see it as a valuable account with cash flow, but still hoping every month I get that raise and it's 100% |

| Grimmejaw | 07-28-2013 04:06 PM | It's normal. I have an account with 17 positive feedback and has been selling for 4-5 months and still have the 10/1000 limit. My other stealth account got limit raised after only a month. Ebay is just unpredictable sometimes |
| vogeltron | 08-05-2013 04:11 AM | Just curious what other members think I haven't done too many new accounts in the last few years. But if I remember correctly once, after a few months of getting the initial selling feedback I want to say once I started listing a few fixed price item I felt like my account got the jump faster. Just curious if anyone else has had the same experience?
I know Sandy D calls it a dart board and I agree. But this is by far the longest I have ever gone without a limit increase. Just seems like my methodology must be a bit off. |
| GreenBean | 08-05-2013 04:20 AM | What I found is it is required to sell to numbers limit and monetary limit.
Should be both.

| john456 | 08-06-2013 01:11 AM | I have account stuck at 10/1000 that is over a year old. Good DSR but it got slapped with MC999 after first item sold to verify identity.
I passed no problem but since then no increase. |
| Dmshark25 | 08-06-2013 03:19 AM | Just got my first raise finally on the one account that wouldn't go up past 10/1000 but Paypal holds lifted now its 50/5000, small raise for 8 months compared to some of newer accounts lately but well beyond what I need to use per month for one account.
Sometimes there's just no reason |
Phrase of Sandy's about throwing darts on a dartboard seems to be applicable here hah...at least you got some increase | | All times are GMT -5. The time now is 05:12 PM. | |
